I still think pillar has atrocious pitch recognition, anyone disputing that just isn't paying attention. However, his ability to put the bat on the ball is elite and is the main reason he is able to be viable as a hitter given his skill set. If someone could teach his stubborn ass to stop swinging at obvious balls way out of the zone, this ridiculous all star talk might actually have some merit. As it stands right now, Kevin pillars approach to hitting is what is preventing him from becoming a good hitter.

I remember reading a quote from him saying he didn't want to start, he prefers relieving. Not sure if it was taken out of context but it puzzled me at the time of reading it as to why he wouldn't want to start.
