    Fair enough, I think the reason why they do get attached to essentially every FA is because Atkins is very active and checks in on essentially every FA, and they are a top spending team. Sure some of it is probably just leveraging being done by the agent but I'm fine with that. Also the Jays are one of the most followed teams in baseball and people like Morosi use them for click bait. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

    That's why I would take Cronenworth back. It should cut down on the return they have to give up and he was very good the two previous years to 2023. I get the contract isn't ideal and that's why he's been reported as untradable but if you can't get three to four 2-3 win seasons out of him it will be worth it, IMO.     I don't think it's that cut and dry, he managed to sign Springer who was one of the best FA available that off-season. He also ponied up for Gausman who was, again, one of the top FA of that off season. He probably kicks the tires on a lot of free agents which is better than not. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

    I'm not sure if he's great value or not but his grades on Fangraphs are all above average and he's one year removed from back to back 4.2 fWAR seasons. He could be had for a song and could provide some decent value. The contract is about three years too long though Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

    What would Kim cost from SD? He's an expiring contract so it shouldn't be too exorbitant. Was an above average fielder at both 3rd and 2nd. I know no one wants Cronenworth but he's projected for 2.0 WAR from steamer for next year. Get the Padres to eat 11M, which basically makes it a six year contract which is more palatable and including him should cut the cost down drastically No idea what it would cost Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
