    Reyes can be moved for a sack of balls for all I care. The other two depends on the return. The longer the team waits, the less their value becomes. If those two are still Jays by this winter, and a new GM is finally in place, then the team might be better off giving the core one more shot. I doubt they'll get a huge prospect haul for one year of control.

    I agree. Fire Alex, let a new GM take one more crack with this core in 2016, and go from there. AA did a few good things this past winter (Donaldson and Martin specifically), it's just that his weakness of roster management and allocating money got in the way as usual. Give a better GM this core and some money to fit some better pieces around it, even for a year, and maybe things get better. But yes, Gibbons is not the only stench coming from this organization. AA needs to go as well.

    s*** if Dickey pitched like this more often, he would be fine. Today's game is all on the offense.

    Benching Navarro for more than a day causes Gibbons to have panic attacks.

    That list includes a 20-year old reliever who has never thrown more than 50 innings as a starter (Osuna), a starter with Kyle Drabek's command (Sanchez), a homer prone low ceiling prospect who scouts describe as having marginal stuff (Boyd), and one top prospect (Norris). The established young pitching includes a guy who will be coming off ACL surgery, and then someone who will now have two straight seasons of underperforming his FIP. If that's an excess of young controllable and ready MLB SP talent, then the Jays are in trouble. The smart thing to do would be to keep Bautista and Edwin and sign pitchers (or trade for them). Keeping those two while counting on the pitchers you just named is insane. The Mets have the type of excess you are trying to describe. The Jays aren't even close.

    They have three outfielders on the roster and one of them is a back-up (Carrera). Either call up a real OF or start Carrera. Using a DH in left field and costing the team runs on defense is not a smart plan. That's on AA and Gibbons.

    I don't necessarily agree with trading those two, but how in the world do the Jays have an "excess" of MLB ready young controllable SP?

    Gibbons has never valued defense. When you put defensive players in a position to fail, on top of a mediocre pitching staff, it's not going to end well. That's on AA too for the roster construction. I'm just ready to move on from these clowns.

    What if you think Sanchez isn't very good (yet) AND Hutchison has been bad on the road? Is that better? Home: 2.39 FIP, 1.94 BB/9, 8.82 K/9, 0.35 HR/9, .284 BABIP Road: 5.32 FIP, 3.64 BB/9, 7.50 K/9, 1.71 HR/9, .416 BABIP (this is obviously unsustainable) I think it's fair to say he's been bad on the road. Really bad. Again, maybe that changes as the year goes on, but it's the all star break and he's still the same dude who can't get anyone out on the road.

    I agree that overall he's been fine (his home numbers are great) but he sucks on the road this season, and it's not flukey bad, it's clearly bad. Maybe it's something that normalizes as the year goes on, but it's shown no signs of improvement even against a s***** offense like the White Sox.

    If Hutch's road/home splits were remotely similar, I'd actually agree with the Gibby Lover, but the road #'s are worrying.

    Yes, because his 5.32 FIP on the road is exactly the same as his performance last season. Not a troublesome trend at all. I'd also suggest you look at Hutchison's numbers, especially in the 2nd half of last season, before you foolishly say he's just as good as he was last year.

    He needs to be sent down. Can't pitch on the road whether he's in a hitter's park or pitcher's park, or whether he's facing a good offense or bad one.
