  1. Morales' three year deal is going to feel longer than Vernon's deal.
  2. THe Twins should have walked Morales. Too dangerous to pitch to him. Luckily for the Twins he struck out.
  3. Diaz thought that was ball 4 from the looks of it, but Hernandez clearly swung. Diaz should have run anyway. Not sure why he would stop.
  4. A 10 year deal would cover his 20's. I'm down for that. Team options for years 11 and 12. Risky (as all players are risky over a ten year period, even the can't miss types) but it buys out what should be his best years.
  5. Has a higher wRC+ (83) than Edwin (60) now. Gotta love short sample size.
  6. Twins have 50+ games against the trio of dog poop in the Central. They will end the season over .500 (unless they turn into poop themselves), but they may not be gifted a wild card spot like last year.
  7. The Astros gave up on JD Martinez a few years ago. They aren't perfect.
  8. If you gave him an 8 to 10 year guarantee he wouldn't even be 30 by the time that thing ended. It's a risk worth taking.
  9. 16-12 with 12 games being against New York, Boston, and Cleveland (the big 4 with Houston). They are 5-7 against those teams and 11-5 against everyone else, which is all you can hope for. Also, 8-8 without JD, so they haven't fallen off a cliff without him yet, and that's with the SP being mostly ass aside from Happ. Things could be better but could be a lot worse as well. Not bad all things considered.
  10. The Twins have over 50 games with the crappy Central teams, except they might be one of the crappy teams themselves.
  11. So does Sanchez officially suck again? Dude's back to not striking anyone out and walking guys. 2016 looks like a massive outlier so far.
  12. Yup. He's toast and is a roster management nightmare. Seems like a good guy, but move on.
  13. Clemens needs to be at a higher level. I don't expect him to be a prospect, but he's way too good/old for Lansing.
  14. Agree that Morales needs to go. Use Grandy and Pearce at DH and roll with Hernandez, Pillar, and Grichuk in the outfield, for better or worse. Morales is not needed, and is no longer good. Plus, Gibbons has this derpy habit of pinch hitting Morales for Pearce, which defies any sort of logic. It needs to end. Swallow your pride (Shatkins) and accept the sunk cost (Rogers). Bad moves happen. No need to prolong it.
  15. Time for the reason why I will never trust exit velocity ever again, Kendrys Morales, to do something positive.
  16. Morales pinch hitting for Pearce against a righty is about as derpy as you can get as a manager. The numbers and the eye test support how stupid that is.
  17. Losing a pick for Cobb or Lynn was insanity. Glad we went with Garcia.
  18. He's out of options after this season. If he stays healthy and hits well, I'm sure he'll get a chance next spring.
  19. And in the 7th inning (not late enough). Yeah, it was a logical move just done too early.
  20. Because Gibbons wanted the better defender in the game, even though the team had three more innings left to play. Questionable at best, save the defensive replacement for the 8th or 9th, but what's done is done. Grichuk on cue K's.
  21. Solarte hits bombs, Morales hits grounders.
  22. Biggio is slowly making me a believer. Keep drafting or signing big leaguers' sons.
  23. It's impossible to hate on Grandy. Legitimately nice guy and crushes righties. F the Sox.
  24. Granderson is f'n awesome!
