    What hurts the Yanks more is that they have a short pen, as Mitchell was spot-starting for Sabathia. This means the Yanks will be calling up arms from Scranton Wilkes-Barre tomorrow..

    Expect most of the ALCS games to be moved to Fox Sports 1 if the Jays make it to the ALCS.

    Sabathia scratched for Yankees--Bryan Mitchell starting in place. Sabathia will pitch tomorrow instead.

    The AL 2nd Wild Card is unbelievably tight right now. 5 teams fighting it out for a trip to Toronto or New York for the wild card game (if the standings hold.) Baltimore, LA, Texas, Minnesota and Tampa are within 2.5 of each other. Excluding the White Sox and Tigers, as they are well below .500 and won't make the postseason unless Baltimore slides (wouldn't be a surprise with their nasty upcoming sked). Texas will need their pitching to step up if they have any shot.. their pitching is pretty crappy outside of Gallardo. And Hamels hasn't adjusted to the AL yet. Ditto for Minnesota. LA and Tampa really need to hit.. they've got pitching, but their offense sucks.

    And Gott blows the game. Royals win 3/4, Angels fall out of the playoffs (for now) Seriously, F*** the Orioles... they now have the 2nd wild card. Not all bad news though.. Jays pick up 0.5 game in the 1st wild card (3.5 up now)

    It'd be an issue if the Angels were actually hitting, which they aren't. Calhoun/Trout/Pujols can't carry this team.. they seriously need help.

    Probably Baltimore (7-5 vs. them), plus their pitching is nowhere near the Angels. The only reason we might want the Angels is because of their lack of offense besides Trout and Pujols.

    Severino's due for a bad outing. He didn't exactly have his best vs. Cleveland.. this will be his 3rd MLB start.

    Especially if you're the Angels. One more loss and an O's win and the Angels fall out of the playoff mix.

    It's like the Mariners have quit on McClendon.. time to fire him. And I expect Rasmussen to be DFAd shortly (16.20 ERA). And how about JBJ? 5 hits, 7 RBIs. Maybe it's time for the Sox to give him regular playing time.. he seems to be finally figuring it out.

    Seriously, F*** the O's.. Davis with a walk-off HR off Pat Venditte. Angels fans are pissed too.. their lead's down to a 0.5 game in the 2nd wild card, as they are losing badly to the Royals.

    Hendriks is the long-man. And as I mentioned, the Yanks pen is mixed besides Miller and Betances (and Wilson.) Why do you think they've 29 arms (and Garret Jones)?

    Well, Buck and Mathis(who they traded) were worse.. where else were you going to find a starting catcher at the time of the trade? And they didn't know Arencibia would implode at the time.

    Agreed. Once you get past Betances, Miller and maybe Wilson, the bullpen has been rotated heavily this season.. right now, Warren (who should be starting instead of Sabathia and is being wasted in the bullpen) is in there, Chasen Shreve, Bryan Mitchell and Crap Cushion(Capuano) are in there. The Yanks have used 29 pitchers this year, partially to cover for Sabathia's problems, Tanaka's injury risk, and the risk Severino struggles in the big leagues.. he is going to get hit around sooner or later. Video's out on him now..
