  1. Bud Norris was garbage. It wouldn't have mattered.
  2. Extras in the desert.. 3-3 in the Dodgers/D-Backs game. MLB's going to not like this pace of play stuff getting hurt by these very long games.
  3. I know.. but the Sox bullpen's going to take a few days to recover. Extra innings games like this can take a toll on bullpens.
  4. Farrell is finally getting desperate.. Craig PHing for Leon.
  5. Well, Washington is likely salivating at the fact the Sox bullpen, like the Yanks(who play the O's next), will be toast after this LONG game.. Jays will need to take advantage when they play Tampa.
  6. Esmil Rogers warming up..
  7. And unsurprisingly, neither team can score. 15th inning.. and Farrell still won't touch Steven Wright. He'll have to next inning.. Breslow is at 26 pitches. And as I speak, Wright's warming in the pen. And Shreve's out again.. my guess he gets sent down for a fresh arm tomorrow. And Boston probably still won't score off of a tired Shreve..
  8. Sorry, I meant they're still playing at 12:00 midnight.
  9. Rusney Castillo is tearing up AAA right now, and may need to be considered if Betts doesn't adjust.
  10. Betts after that Opening Day barrage, including tonight so far: 2-15, 1 BB, 2K, 0R, 0RBIs. That's not a good thing..and part of the reason we're still playing at 12:00 midnight.
  11. Well one team can't get their leadoff man to hit like in the spring (Betts in Boston), and the Yanks pen is just dominating the Red Sox, like they did with us.
  12. Good gracious, will this game ever end??? 14th inning coming up with no end in sight, as both teams continue to struggle to score.
  13. That and he's pitching against the punchless Giants who are missing Belt and Pence.
  14. Guess the league finally figured him out? Boston can't afford this.. especially considering how much they're depending on him to lead off..
  15. At least he made the play. On to the 13th...
  16. Did anyone hear that Carlos Gomez had to play 2B after Gennett got the heave-ho? Luckily, it was for just about an inning.. and the Brew Crew are 0-4.
  17. That was pretty ugly by Bogaerts..
  18. And how about that Mark Canha? One of the better Rule 5 picks this season..
  19. And now the lights are going out at Yankee Stadium.. this game is never going to end with this delay due to lights.
  20. Well, the Yanks have just Esmil Rogers left.
  21. Nice play by Bogaerts. And on we go into the 12th... well, this will pretty much screw up MLB's pace of play plans to try to cut game times.. we're at close to 4 hours now.
  22. Tommy Layne now in to try to keep this game going.
  23. Wilson, Betances and Miller threw 20+ pitches. Plus, there's workload to worry about, especially with consecutive games coming up. I more focus on the pitches thrown. Just because they may have thrown 1 inning, how many pitches did it take?
  24. As we speak, the Yanks and Red Sox are likely making phone calls to Scranton-Wilkes Barre and Pawtucket for fresh arms.. as no end seems to be in sight.
  25. Bullpen arms remaining: Yankees: Shreve, Esmil Rogers(questionable, as he was used last night in mop-up duty) Red Sox: Layne, Breslow, Steven Wright (they should really save him for tomorrow, considering Kelly has missed a fair amount of time).
