  1. So much epic fail for the Angels.. Oh BTW, don't forget the Royals slide has allowed the Jays to cut their gap to 5 games on the first wild card. And the 2nd will depend on the Rays game.
  2. Richards can't throw strikes.. and the Yanks are taking advantage, up 2-0 already.. And now 4-0. well, at least we still have the Rays tonight, who have no shot of winning with King Felix pitching and Longoria not in the lineup.
  3. Kansas City is continuing to struggle.. already down 4-0 to the Rangers. Does anyone think the magic of the Royals is wearing off as their pitching staff is getting exposed? Outside of Volquez, their rotation is terrible..
  4. Lloyd McClendon, Jack Z, and their hitting coach's seats are getting hot right now. Don't be surprised if we see a firing spree in the Mariners organization soon. 24-31 for a team that was predicted to go to the World Series. Shows that there are worse organizations than the Blue Jays.. BTW, things are changing in the race.. Kansas City is sliding (dropping 8 of 10) as their starting pitching is s**t, which has allowed the AL Central to open up slightly.. LA, as you saw vs. the Yankees, is struggling, and how long can Texas keep this success up with pitching that is so bad? Jays just need to keep leap frogging teams.. we can jump over the Indians and White Sox with a win today. And anyone thinking the Tigers have too much talent to be this bad.. look at their terrible pitching staff outside of Price!
  5. While waiting for the Rays/Mariners to score a run, I can tell you Lind had a 6 RBI game tonight (3-6, HR, 2-run single.) Gibson sucked tonight..
  6. It is. Suddenly, you have to wonder if it's time for the Tigers to blow their roster up before they turn into the AL equivalent of the current Phillies. Worst losing streak since 2005, BTW.
  7. Hold your breath, Rays fans... the chances of a fire sale in Tampa because of the team dropping in the standings could increase if Jake Odorizzi misses time:
  8. And what a terrible way to end a ballgame for the Tigers! Wilson hits Avisail Garcia to cost the Tigers the game with a walk-off HBP... Rangers are now tied with the Rays in the 2nd wild card, pending the Rays/Mariners game's result.
  9. A-Rod only 9 hits away from 3,000 hits.. hopefully he won't get the same coverage as Jeter did, as A-Rod was a cheater.
  10. Adam LaRoche hit a game tying HR off Joakim Soria. DET/CWS now in the 10th, tied 3-3.. nothing is going well for Detroit right now. As a result, it's opened up the entire AL (except for Oakland.)
  11. Best lineup we've had in a while offensively and defensively (except for LF). We have a decent shot.. once we get past this Astros series, we have two pushovers in the Marlins and Red Sox coming up, and a Mets team that is crippled with injuries right now (d'Arnaud, Wright, Murphy, Herrera are out, although d'Arnaud might return for the Jays series.)
  12. Yeah.. but nobody knew that Ortiz was going to be awful, Ramirez being the worst OF in baseball, Sandoval not hitting lefties or playing good defense, Betts and Castillo regressing, and the pitching staff being awful. Too much hype..
  13. Clint Robinson actually. Shane Robinson plays for the Twins.
  14. The "ugh" was watching Sandoval play terrible defense at 3B.. most of the AL East, including the Jays, have better 3B than Sandoval (although Headley has been lousy too.). And yes I want the Twins to win so that Farrell and Cherington get closer to being fired.
  15. Ruggiano DFAd.. a good bat against lefties, but the Mariners have the worst GM in baseball in Jack Z who thinks low OBP sluggers+ bad defense in the OF = winning.
  16. Ugh Sandoval.. 2 errors today, and this error just brought in the potential winning run... 5-4 Twins. And to make matters worse, HanRam just let a ball go over his head, and now it's 6-4.
  17. And Wright booked his spot in the bullpen with this outing.. tie game at 4. (however, the Sox defense, like the Twins, has been terrible today.)
  18. Holy, the Twins are fielding like crap today.. an E4, an E6, and what should've been an E5, all in the 2nd inning. Stop giving the Sox free runs!
  19. Wrong. Baltimore has a worse winning percentage, and they're actually below Boston now in the standings.
  20. How about Lance McCullers of the Astros? 9IP, 4H, 1ER, 11Ks, 1.88 ERA. He's basically replaced McHugh(who has regressed significantly) as part of the 1-2 punch in the Astros rotation. And the Orioles stink. That team will be interesting to watch at the deadline.. a fire sale is a strong possibility, as many of their players are free agents after this season.
  21. Good news for the Astros series--we miss Keuchel.. actually, the Astros starters for the series are TBA, due to the injury to Feldman. Likely it'll be Oberholtzer, McHugh and Roberto Hernandez..
  22. Forgot to mention the Nats have little depth in AAA.. Syracuse is the worst team in AAA right now (17-36), because all their prospects are in the Nats bullpen or rotation right now, as they lack depth.
  23. Well, the Nats are missing Fister and Strasburg (who BTW, have been crap this year), just downgraded their pen by moving Roark to the rotation, and don't exactly have a ton of depth in the minors to help.
