AA has not been a great judge of value/$ at the major league level...so thats why the fan base is always clamoring for more payroll.

Beeston said it would be up in USD. He confirmed this in Jan/Feb on PTS, so currency does not matter with regard to his promise. There's lots of time to add salary over the season, so we can't call Beeston a liar just yet, but if holes persist and/or more are created by the failure of the 6 rookies to properly contribute, then they better be spending that promised excess money to fill those holes. Im still pissed about the Prado non-trade last year, and if a piece like that is available this year, and the Jays don't acquire it, then we know Beeston is full of s*** (which many of us highly suspect already).

Decent depth piece. Will he be stretched out as a starter in Buffalo? I honestly don't see the difference between him and Estrada, had Estrada pitched in the AL East these past few years.

Was looking to pay $100/each, but ended up seeing Jim Beam Suites seats for $125/each on stubhub, so I bit on those. If it ends up being cold/rainy, i'll have access to the to the Jim Beam suite so an go in and watch from there. New Yankee stadium is my favorite stadium, so looking forward to it.

Sanchez isnt depth if we're counting on him to be the closer, or high leverage bullpen guy. Either way, we were thin enough using 'internal options' to address the bullpen with Sanchez pretty much penciled in there.

It should, but I think if we see someone sign in the next day or two, it sends a bad sign about payroll, in that the Jays HAD to wait to see the outcome of this before being able to commit another 1.5mil to a reliever.
