    Maybe when Donaldson comes back, a stint at DH in Buffalo could help. I wonder how healthy the knees are? Travis, if healthy could still turn into a batting champ. Have to help him, not hinder his recovery. The question is, which is the right move?

    19-20 Year old kids hitting .300 in AA, are not getting humbled. They are doing great. I am foreseeing September call-ups, unless injuries at the MLB level, forces something sooner. With the depth at the majors this year, that is a long shot.

    I have thought the same, many times this winter. I really wanted Morales traded, to free up his position for other players, mostly Travis. You are right, that with the depth of quality bats added this winter, there really is no need for Morales. Yet it is always good to have a big bat on the bench for pinch hitting assignments.

    in every sport, even team sports, there are times that require individual performances. Some players try too hard and fail. Some try hard and succeed. Others don't try hard and succeed. I think what Barker was trying to get across was that particular player, needed to relax, and let the play happen rather than trying to make it happen.

    For a lot of players, this is completely accurate. Some players have the ability to rise to the occasion and excel, other players tank in hi pressure situations. The metric guys will argue all day that all players are the same, but in fact they are all different and all will react differently.

    If RA could sucker some other GM right now, Teoscar could become some other teams problem. He's gotta go.

    I think he needs to get traded, or forever sent to AAAA. He is obviously not major league material. Reminds me of Eric Thames.

    Last year, apparently Maile was hurt when he came to the Jays. He had superb defensive skills, but his bat was poor. After he came back from surgery and started to get some regular at bats, he actually started to hit then. Not like this year obviously, but quite reasonable for a backup catcher.

    I seem to recall our backup catchers last year being much worse than that. Especially defensively. When Maile was hurt last year, our catching abilities were pathetic.

    Yeh, We believe you think this. Over the years, there have been a lot of middle infielders who have not been Hall of Famers. Not a lot of Robbie Alomars out there. I doubt if you saw Manny Lee play, lot like Goins.
