Thinking that same thing? But man, when Colby is hot, watch out. What if we're still in this thing in September. Which is looking like a very realistic scenario, and then he goes supernova for a month. With the other guys in the lineup OMG.

He strikes me as the kind of player who would start slow, hitting Mendoza line slow, but the steadily climb to .280 - pretty much the antithesis of Rasmus, in that I don't think he's prone to jagged streaks like he is. Just a feeling.

I started watching with my dad the year they won the WS in 1992, about the same time I started playing softball. Pretty sure he was near the end of his career. I need to Google that. Anyway, I don't think he ever threw that fast, even young. He must have converted from a more traditional pitcher style, like Loup has. No one could possibly start like that.

Loup is warming up. I thought Loup was a soft tosser, Mark Eichhorn (sp?) style, coming into this season. He whips it up to 94 mph. That's crazy with that arm slot. How does his arm not fall right off?

Well, I've been pretty depressed about the Jays since last April, short of that stint in June. *IF* they hang on to beat the f***ing BoSox a second night in a row, I'll be super pumped. It's a big deal.

Yeah, I agree with those that say this place is pretty relaxed. It's pretty tough for a chick to have her thoughts read, let alone thanked (usually) and I've been thanked a few times. Which is cool.

If the Jays had waited until June to call him up, how would that have affected arbitration? Would you not have been eligible for arbitration until 2017 instead of 2016?

I get the impression that he's totally okay with the move. I'm so happy we gave hi a chance, though. He's going to be valuable in the 'pen. Is he sort of a 2-3 innings ugh now, or a set up guy for the 8th or 9th, meaning, 2-3 batters?
