  1. They could give everyone a day off. We're not going to win. This is one you can almost bank on. What does LV give our odds of winning? Will we have 6 AAA players starting?
  2. Honestly, instead of sitting Melky they should just forfeit and take the day off.
  3. I was looking at the list of pitchers probably available, and I keep coming back to B. McCarthey for the Blue Jays. His ERA is over 5, but his peripherals are really, really good. Do you think he would be a good trade target for the Jays? And who does he bump in the rotation if we do?
  4. Holy crap that's a horrible lineup. Isn't there anyone in AAA that hurts lefties? Dan Johnson?
  5. I don't think Millar was being a prick, I just think he find Mune incredibly entertaining. Millar is also known around the league as a really nice guy I thought. Anyway, I didn't get anything bad from this video. I could be wrong. Pillar on the other hand...
  6. That's if he "continues to regress and/or get injured". I predict that will happen to Hutch.
  7. My prediction, Morrow replaces Hutchinson as SP. Hutch will either continue to regress and/or get injured. My second prediction, Jays exercise that $10M 2015 option. It's only really $9M, right? Because the buyout is $1M. So $9M more gets you a 1.5 WAR SP with some upside. No brainer.
  8. If he continues his solid AAA numbers I disagree.
  9. 120 wins - every game against the Yankees = FINAL WIN TOTAL
  10. I looked up Otis Nixon. He was NOT hot.
  11. When John McDonald hit a homer on Father's Day just days after his dad passed away I was blown away. That one still gives me chills.
  12. I can't even begin to describe how much I hate the Yankees and that ******** Yankee mystique, those f***ing fans seem to feel as entitled as government employees. #hater
  13. Can someone tell me why Tanaka is getting ALL the calls on low pitches for strikes whilst Stroman pitches more up in the zone for ball calls? Seriously, what the f***!
  14. Do they even have graves in the minors? #dig #screwJPA
  15. In my video game world, we use him for 2-3 innings every second day, to totally befuddle the opposition instead of the BA's climbing the 2rd and 3rd times through the batting order. Take a couple starters, like say Hutch and Happ, two guys who won't or shouldn't pitch past the 5th. Make Dickey their piggybacked middle relief pitcher for 2-3 innings on those starts. It would totally screw up the opposition. Plus, Dickey could spot start. But I know, craziness. And not real world. I just like the idea. Dickey can be such an effective tool (hee hee), it'd be really cool to utilize his wizardry more than once every 5 starts is all I'm saying.
  16. And that's easy to measure, you use unicorn horns. #iknowyouwerekidding
  17. Holy s***! His xFIP is that bad? Forget that 5-2 ********. Let's take him out back and shoot him.
  18. This is one of the funnier GIF's ever posted. Thanks for that
  19. That's true. I've seen 96 mph a few times. That was nice.
  20. I hated him, and Izturis, before the season began because they seemed below middling, and we're taking up valuable roster spots logjamming other potential player options. Happ is 5-2 and has pitched really well. for a #5 guy, this is fantastic. He's looked really, really good. So, yeah, if we pick up another starting pitcher before the deadline, I'd rather not bump Happ unless he shits the bed. I'd rather we bump Dickey to be honest.
  21. I think if we acquire a solid starting pitcher (Hammels, for example) before the deadline, Dickey should be bumped from the rotation. I dislike Happ as much as the next guy, but he's 5-2 and has been really effective. Dickey is Dickey. He'd be a great 3-inning long man, and spot starter. Not unlike Wakefield was used. Although you'd have to unhitch Thole from his hip.
  22. Like a lot of you, clearly, I am a bi-polar fan, so I too went through the lows ("f*** you, Pillar") to the highs ("Jays win!"). I'm glad I'm not the only one. But c'mon, be brutally honest...a lot of you were at least thinking f*** you, Pillar
  23. Isn't it possible to give him an extra day's rest before EVERY start? Through days off, and guys like Redmond who only pitch once/week anyway, and can spot start (plus the AAA starters like Hendricks), I think it'd be prudent to do this with Hutch. He'd be more effective, and only have ~150 innings pitched by the time the races really heat up in September. Morrow can be another long man if he recovers and pitches again.
