    Oh s***, Luis Perez was awesome before TJ! Crap! Okay, now I'm a little shocked. I thought he would be a Jay for yeasrs.

    Perez was very strong, but is 34 or 35 and coming off a serious injury. Unless he hasn't recovered properly, he'll be signed. He has such a weird pitching motion. It makes my elbow tingle just watching him! Anyway, decent utility player pick up. Like most I hope to hell this means we get rid of Izturis. He is soooooo useless. Kawasaki isn't the a savior, but at least he's fun to watch and very easy to cheer for. Is Izturis fun to watch? Easy to cheer for? I wonder if the Jays do in fact plan to go with a 7-man bullpen. I didn't think that would happen. I think Janssen starts the year on the DL to make room for someone else there.

    It's pretty good. A little cheesy and cliché, but what baseball movies not starring all young people aren't? When you watch it, imagine the bad assistant GM and any of the Jays scouts evaluating players for the draft with how Atlanta's first round pick is implied to turn out. Like the Braves would s*** the bed.

    No to Drabek. I'm still thinking he can get his s*** together on the farm and be a servicable 3-4 starter.

    It'll be between Redmond and Rogers, whomever posts a less than 7.00 ERA in ST. McGowan and the loser will be the long men. We will go with an 8-man bullpen for a week or two, and then try to slide those loser of the Redmond/Rogers battle back down to AAA without a claim. RR will start the season in the minors for a few weeks, but will be called up if (a) even semi-effective when either Rogers or Redmond sucks ass, or ( when Morrow gets hurt by early May. My personal rotation is Dickey, Hutchinson, MB, McGowan and Happ, but that won't happen. I had soooooo much hope for Rogers, I thought he would blow us away in ST. But he hasn't.

    Yep, that's the combo I'm rooting for, Hutch and RR, with Santana off to Atlanta. We need to move Happ somewhere, now.

    I think the Jays are happier with Sierra as Lind's platoon mate than they are with Goins as the 2B. But I'd love to see Happ, a reliever and a prospect traded to Seattle for a 2B.

    If they don't sign ES, they are breaking with 8 I think. Keeping Redmond and Rogers.

    At the end of the day I am pretty sure Drew is back in Boston.

    I'm giving him this season (like I have a choice). I'm still praying things work out. Incidentally, that Happ thread is interesting...maybe something is brewing on that front, to give him the bum's rush.

    He's said all along he'll wait until the price is reasonable. I, like many, was impatient wanting to sign everyone NOW! But if he actually sign Santana for $14M, I will trust in him once again. It's a ninja move in my mind.

    I think Alex envisioned an offseason where Rogers would allow him the $$$ to sign Ubaldo and Santana, or maybe get Tanaka (who knows) and he didn't think JJ would fit in there. But in hindsight, I am 99% sure he figures he made a mistake.

    That's true glory, and if we keep the Hutchinsons and Stromans in the minors until June, we get another year out of them before FA. So, it's an even better idea with that in mind.

    Bad thread? We've only had the Dioner signing to get hot about. This is the best (possible) news I've had as a Jays fan since, I dunno' the Dickey signing. Because it means we are going to improve if we sign him. How does discussing an almost certain improvement translate to the "worst thread ever"?
