  1. No that it is common knowledge that Rogers made all this money available for Otani, does this make Vlad or Bo increase or fast-forward their demands for long term extension?
  2. If it’s true and it’s the dodgers for $700M that is nuts. What’s next BJ’s?
  3. Sign Yamamoto Trade RT for Soto Trade Manoah for Yelich Trade Espinal for Paredes. Trade Springer for back end pitcher or reliever. Wake up and realize this is a pipe dream and that I would actually miss Springer.
  4. Yep and there won’t be an 11th. Probably won’t be a bottom of the 9th.
  5. What are they doing? Just tuned in. Don’t trust this management
  6. Man we need some athletic players that just want to play ball and do what it takes to win. 500 other MLB players would have been safe at home
  7. So do we have the balls to fire the manager and trade Vladdy for someone that can lead the team? Bellinger would look so good right now. Like the pitching, don’t want to give up on Defence as it helps the pitcher but Chapman won’t be worth the money he demands. Can’t stand non athletes like Kirk. Getting on base doesn’t help when you can’t get around the bases. Lots of work to do.
  8. Really like the Hicks addition. If Romano and Hicks are healthy that is starting to look like a legit playoff bullpen. Let’s get a bay now
  9. TSN said Robberse
  10. So what is our problem this year. It does seem to be a lot of in game management decisions. Is it the khakis calling the shots, is it Schneider is there a catchers calling for stupid pitches? Is it the pitcher not executing? Combination of everything? Whatever it is it is very frustrating.
  11. Those are some pretty ugly choices. I do like Bellinger and hope he rebounds. He can hit from the left side of the plate and play good enough defense to move Springer over to right field. Possibly right field takes a little bit of wear and tear out a springer‘s legs? When listening to Kershaw talk about the Dodgers last year, he had nothing but good things to say about Bellinger and a few of his other teammates seemed to agree. Could be a good thing for our bench after losing Teo.
  12. Ramirez being a switch hitting 3B that can hit and play Defence for a bargain contract is my choice. Fills the void left by Marcus departure while balancing the right heavy lineup. Biggio and Espinal are good enough to play 2B and spell of others when needed. We are in our winning window now, the kids are here, hopefully Moreno is up this year. We have extra picks from our Free Agent departures, let’s spend some more prospect capital.
  13. No matter what happens the last 3 games you don’t s*** on a very young team that has overachieved this season despite being led by Howdy Doody, losing some major pieces in the bullpen as the season started and missing Springer for half a year. I just hope management has the balls to build on this success, bring in the right pieces and get rid of some dead pieces. If we start next year with a three headed catching dilemma, a 10 million dollar struck out machine as a fourth outfielder, a s*** bullpen, and retain Charlie then Shatkins has failed miserably.
  14. We sat section 113AR the other day. Physically distanced. No one in the seats in the row in front or behind us. People in those rows about 10 feet over. I would say easily 6 ft distance at the minimum. Once the game started not a mask to be seen.
  15. Right now we have a couple decent starters, a few good bullpen arms, crappy Defence, crappy catchers, and a s***** manager. Unless the boys hit the cover off the ball we lose. Hopefully Shatkins realizes that pitching and defense are also important next offseason. Team stars are still young, great arms in the minors so still a great future to look forward to.
  16. Shi Davidi is on Tim and Sid right now. Payroll is around $128 m with the signing. Still room to add a decent starter.
  17. Few quick and tired thoughts Maybe Randal’s contract can be used to offset the cost of another larger contract being brought in. Ie) Arenado. How much does Cleveland value Kirk and Lourdes? Does it help get us into Ramirez conversations. What would it take to land Colorado’s beastly Marquez? Do you guys and gals expect Hernandez to improve defensively or is what we saw last year in the field likely to be repeated.
  18. Great news right before bed. Awesome day grabbing Springer and Yates. We are now outfield heavy. Lovin it
  19. That helps solidify the bullpen. Nice signing. If it’s only the 1 year I am not concerned about the money.
  20. It’s crappy excitement wise that we have only signed Ray. But our two biggest needs are still out there in Bauer and Springer. Signing 1 of the 2 is an off-season win. Still a lot of questions to work out on this team. Is Vlad able to nail down and play a position . Are Teoscar and Lourdes real, will they continue to get better and solidify our outfield corners. What is Tellez? Can he be this years Teoscar. Will Pearson be a capable and quality starter this year or are we a few years out. I love the promise. Bauer has warts but a 1-2 of Ryu and Bauer gives us a playoffs punching chance the next 3 years. If Pearson hits expectations that is a nasty trio. Springer solidifies both offense and Defence. Veteran guy on a young team. I won’t be too disappointed unless we don’t land 1 of these two
  21. There is maybe a better fit for us then Lindor. Hey if they are in a selling mood I will take a third baseman. I have no prob with Bo at SS
  22. I love the whole Lindor being a BlueJay. He is exactly the type of player we need. Still in prime years, plays GG defense and can hit. Like others it all depends on cost and ability to extend. We have Bo in that spot, who is still a pup and should keep getting better, so to me I am not trading for Lindor unless a very fair deal falls Into my lap even if he is the exact type of player this team needs. Just wrong position. I personally hope we take a chance on Kim. It’s an old cliche and it’s not my money but at the same time you get a 25 year old kid with defensive versatility and the projected ability to take for money alone. Another it’s just money guy is Realmuto. He is just like Lindor. Stellar defense, great but not elite offense, in prime, but he comes virtually free. Again we have depth at catching but unfortunately Jansen hasn’t progressed like Bichette. I still think there is major potential in the guy and he is only 26 so still in the right side of the growth pendulum. I think there is more value in signing a guy like Realmuto than landing Lindor if we are going to have to lose a guy like Gurriel. There is a reason everyone wants him. He is cost controlled, young, and still has upside. Springer. - love this guy. The veteran leader we need, a top of the order bat and a true CF. The guy doesn’t look like he is slowing down and fills a massive hole. If you land a guy like this than I maybe agree that Gurriel can be placed in a package for Lindor. Saying that I think Springer ends up with the Mets. Bauer - a bit of a head case, a bit of a dick. But if he continues to throw the way he has I can live with the shenanigans. Fills our greatest need. Have not heard many rumors on him lately but a 1-2 punch of Bauer- Ryu immediately gives us the ability to win any given playoff series if those two are pitching to their ability’s. The better defensive players we add, the better our pitchers will be. We need to supplement guys like Teoscar and Vlad with Elite gloves to take away the shot Defence those boys provide. This free agency period provides the front office a good start with Realmuto and Springer as targets to sign, Lindor and possibly a guy like Arenado to trade for and punch out pitchers like Bauer available. I just hope that the agents aren’t using the Blue Jays as a scapegoat team to drive all the prices up for other teams to sign all these free agents. We need to land at least two of the players mentioned above to continue our growth
  23. This team is absolutely brilliant. Our winning percentage was much too high to land a decent draft pick. Lose just enough games to get us back into a decent draft range and squeak into the playoffs. Charlie knows exactly what he is doing to appease his leaders.
