  1. Great news. Great price. More money to add others.
  2. Looks like all our off season and in season acquisitions paying dividends
  3. Hopefully Springer is good, our big boys got some rest and Sho is tuckered out tomorrow. Smith just squatted for 18 as well. Hopefully he will be tired. We wore down some good pitchers. Gotta try and think positive
  4. Give Bieber the off-season to get his feel back. Not too far removed from Tommy John. I think he’ll bounce back pretty strong next year. I just wonder what team it’ll be for.?
  5. Seattle has seen a lot of Varland. Fingers crossed.
  6. I hate seeing us s*** on one of our own players. Little came out and did not make the pitches he wanted to or should have but using his past dozen plus outings he should not have been put in that position to begin with. Anyone with any bit of eyesight that had tuned in to the games down the stretch, should have seen that we had a young rookie reliever that was really starting to struggle. Instead of trying to send him down or back to the pitching lab to fix them and have them regain confidence as he does have nasty stuff that could be used for years once harnessed they kept throwing them out in the same situation. It was like watching the movie Groundhog Day I know people are hot and have every right to be as I was losing my s*** a few hours ago as well, but the guy does have youth on his side and a plus arm. I really hope that guys like him and Darren can put some work in over the winter and come back more confident, more accurate and help push this team forward in the future. Our offense had numerous chances to pull this game away and they also failed. We took two out of three in the enemy city no less take both games at home. For the first time in years, I’m actually really excited about this young core, the financial war chest will have this off-season, and I’m hoping that a long playoff run will draw more talent to Toronto in the off-season. I would like to say I wish the front office and management would learn from their mistakes, but that just doesn’t seem to be happening. Lucky for them as we have a lot of fight in some of our players who at times make management look better than they are. I’m just hoping for the right acquisitions the off-season to keep this train rolling and I’m hoping for two more ones at home. I’m not writing any of the youngsters off yet, I just hope they’re allowed to reset in the right environment, whether that be on the big league roster, the training complex, or in the minors.
  7. I am all for defense but Clement is almost on the same defensive level with a better bat and a way better contract. There was no reason to bring in Gimenez. front office allergic to closers and high end relievers. Not sure what they will be selling high end starters in free agency when they only let them throw 4 innings when it matters.
  8. I think I’d have more confidence if David Hasselhoff was on the mound
  9. This probably makes no sense, but in a bullpen game, it scares me that the game is gonna come down to the bullpen in the ninth
  10. Every guy on base gets closer to Judge to bring down the house. Get it done Hoff
  11. He got the job done. I was puckered the whole time. Who am I kidding. I have been puckered since they yanked Trey in game 2
  12. Is there any way Barger improves his defense enough to play 3B full time? Would solve some problems.
  13. On the field I still have to say Alomar. Everyone I knew wanted to play second base and be like Robbie. Too bad the person got in the way of the player. Gruber was awesome to watch in his short stay. Not sure why I liked him so much but I liked watching him. Roy was so likable and such a friggin stud. Delgado was probably the player other than Alomar that II tuned in to watch. Joe Carter has always been very likable
  14. If Bieber lives up to expectations, Gausman is our 2, that leaves Berrios, Bassitt, Lauer and Scherzer fighting for the last 2 playoff starters. could we see Mad Max pitch out of the pen in the playoffs? The dude is competitive as hell and hasn’t been going deep into games. Maybe his stuff ticks up a bit with reliever work? Could be a weapon in the pen. any news on Sandlin and Garcia. If they are back we do have a good looking pen
  15. That is a beautiful line on any pitcher let alone a free pick- up. Hope the guy has a great season. Love the long shots.
  16. Even if we paid him 30 million a year, like he’s making now that’s a $420 mil contract. I do not think it will age well. The other 80 million he’s getting I guess is for the ability to maybe attract other free agents here. I do believe that our undecided future this last summer scared away free agents. hopefully, he’s happy and becomes our aircraft carrier for the offense because when he’s on, he can carry a team. If we’re all in on Vlad, I hope we’re all in on Bo as well. Both are still young. If we can get these two happy and hitting and surround them with better talent we have a chance. we have a lot of big contracts coming off the books in the next few years so hopefully we can add better pieces better yet hopefully we can develop some pieces. Maybe I just want Bo signed because that’s the last jersey I bought and I’m too cheap to buy another one go Jays
  17. If Bassitt keeps pitching like this, he’ll bring us back something nice that the trade deadline
