The real problem with Happ is his stuff sucks and he has to pitch outside of the zone to not get hammered... this leads to extra walks and high pitch counts early on. He's the type of pitcher who will give you 5 IP of sub-par pitching on an average start...
Your recollection sucks badly.
Happ didn't even get through 1-1/2 months before he got hit in the head... and he sucked... 4.91 ERA in 7 GS. After he came back from injury he sucked a little less... 4.37 ERA in 11 GS.

I was a bit tired of hearing how pitchers will suffer more in the AL East. So I did some basic metric compilation from 2013 and it turns out, pretty much true. This may not come as much surprise but I was just curious so I thought I'd share.

There's no way you can say this with conviction. The pitching staff we have in Morrow, Dickey, Buehrle, and possibly Hutchison are more than capable, and considering we could easily have a top 10 offense... all hope is not lost yet.
