  1. Go Jays! Really hoping Price puts all the spec that the Yankees own him firmly to rest today. If he cant, lets hope our offense gets down to business like they can. We have a solid D line up today.
  2. Nice to see people on here own their past posts.
  3. Thanks. You have been one of his harshest critics OTB and I remember discussing his V with you a couple months ago. Its returned and is making a big diff.
  4. Sans Travis that's our best line up IMO
  5. I realize its heresy in these here parts to praise the guy given the ace price we paid to get him vis a vis how he has performed. We will forever think of RA negatively when Noah blows away another hitter. When you look at his numbers aside from chewing up IP they aren't impressive. BUT his last 10-12 starts have been solid (one when he was dealing with loss of his Father) and when we needed a big start on enemy turf last night he gave it. Like most, watching him pitch usually pisses me off, but he has pitched well enough to think you almost have to pick up that 2016 option just to get the innings out of him. Keep it rollin' RA. Thanks.
  6. Jose will never go back to 3B at this point in his career.
  7. That actually makes sense defensively (except for what Jose gives up defensively to Smoak) but what net gain does Pompey give us on offense is the question. Jose likes RF and the upside has to be worth the move to be worth that disruption. When I see a line up with an IF of JD - Tulo - Travis(Goins) - Smoak (NOT Colla) anchored by Martin I'm a very happy guy. Don't fix it if it ain't broke?
  8. Was on the road and only caught the highlights. I love our D (with Revere and Smoak) almost as much as I like our O now. Another epic start from RA clutch. So many wanted to DFA or put him in the pen earlier in year. Jose money in the 10th. Lets do it again today with the scrub we have starting for us.
  9. SOOO many guys wanted RA DFAed or taken out of the rotation. He did suck to start the year but man has he has been on a serious roll giving us quality innings to let this offense do their thing. This was a big game last night and he showed up...again.
  10. Yup. Thanks for the '93 HR and many other moments, but one of the most over rated players to ever put on a Jays uniform.
  11. Guy had an 8 WAR in 93! and was benched for Carter. lol That was an amazing year. Great player. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/current-blue-jays-still-not-up-to-1993-levels-of-offence/ is an interesting piece on how this offense doesn't match 93 yet.
  12. The boys really just need to be in the over used cliché "one game at a time" professional approach and let that dictate outcomes. Leave all the scoreboard watching and mathematical probability BS to us over zealous hopelessly addicted fans. So much can happen in this crazy game. Lots of season left.
  13. SMH every time Buck says Jose is one of the best RFs in baseball. When his shoulder was healthy his arm helped offset poor routes and lack of range. He isn't that bad but its not a strength for our D.
  14. Took my 7 yr old from Calgary to Houston this year. TOR the 2 before that. Poor kid is 1-8 on our trips. He loves to play and watch the Jays. The TV panned to him and his bud a lot. He is in the middle. Im amazed at how nice the Jays players are to the TOR fans, especially on the road. Autographs and going out of their way to find them to throw them balls.
  15. Kind of funny to see the internet anonymity veil lifted. Thanks for sharing. You look kinda young for the last time the Jays were in the playoffs. Were you a fan then?
  16. LOL. I simply cannot get enough of hearing s*** like that about this offense. Edwin coming on makes it even that much more potent. With Smoak @ 1st and Revere plugging the hold in LF the D is under rated now. I like watching them on D almost as much as on O. Goins has been money filling in for Travis.
  17. Just for shits and giggles Lawrie's is at 0.7
  18. Just caught the highlights. Another Mark B artistry night. E-Rex returns. The catch by Pillar and the pick by Smoak off JD. Team is rolling with a key tough series coming up. Wont be easy but one team has to win it. Why not our well oiled machine?
  19. WAMCO and supporting cast wasn't bad
  20. Good would be great. There are a lot of very high expectations from some for a kid with 20 MLB starts coming off a significant leg injury.
  21. yes. since before game one 2015. less so after the deadline.
  22. I just threw up in my mouth.
  23. haha ya. He did a nice job. Will be a keeper for 2016 if they can push into the playoffs this year. I remember almost everything playoff related from 85 with the Jays (and lots before that) but the most indelible images in my mind are the ones related to 92 & 93.
  24. That only makes sense. I think even most casual fans realize: JD > Lawrie Martin> than JPA and Navarro Tulo> Reyes David Price > ANYONE ELSE WE HAVE HAD FOR A HELL OF A LONG TIME. etc So even if we lost a couple more than we have since deadline people would still be very interested.
  25. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/watch-fan-creates-blue-jays-edition-of-we-the-north/ Saw this on Sportsnet web site this am. Got coverage. "Watch: Fan creates Jays edition of 'We The North'"
