KC's Morales has been a great find for 6.5MM. 9mm next season. SH with pop who uses the whole field. Drove in the winning run last night with a walk off single to the opposite field.

Didn't know that. I am totally on board with forgiveness and 2nd chances for people always when they make questionable judgement calls. Am great with you, Deadpool and North as mods. 3 excellent posters who would help maintain the integrity of the objective of the board.

Ignoring the D numbers for a second, all you have to do is watch him trying to start a DP...pick a throw...or go back on a foul ball. I hate bitching on the guy because I like what he has done for us at the plate, but he just should not be there.

That's what Wilner said. The fact is the focus was on Reyes because of the affinity to Jose and Edwin and the fact he is/was a much more established star. I didn't respect Wilner that much before he said that but I thought that was a cheap shot inference based on twitter feed or lack thereof.

Listening to "Dave from Vancouver" on Wilners JaysTalk (masochistic I know). Always on there. I wonder if he is on this Board? He rattles on. Not the worst caller by any means but truly annoying.

He has been grabbing his right hamstring. Im just wondering if its affecting his ability to load up on his back leg. He missed a high and away FB that earlier in the year he was hammering to RCF and he cant square anything up.

so true. We aren't hitting great - we have been winning with pitching and great D lately. Defense is a thing and Smoak has helped.

Well that settles it then. Install Colla at 1B or LF! Colla has had many more PAs and with that WRC he has a 0.3 fWAR. That's because there is no place to put him on the field because he is exceptionally bad defensively. Respect the story and the guy with a stick...but he cannot be in the field. He can DH occasionally against LHP or pinch hit.

Watching Angels and KC - Angels offense struggling. Lets hope it continues. Ventura is a little prick but he is filthy Rios is a shadow of his former self in RF for KC with a sub .600 OPS

So focussed on the NYY (as it should be) just settling in tonight to watch the LA Angels vs the Royals with Ventura starting. Heading down to LA Thurs to catch 3 games and hoping they continue to struggle at the plate some. Can't wait. -

Its just my perception but his soft hands and ability to pick seems to stabilize our whole D. He was involved in a lot of plays today and there is no fear factor like we have with Edwin and Colla.

Bump. Smoak hitting the ball all over. But into some bad luck. Today playing 1B after Colla yesterday we are a so much tighter team defensively.

Holy f*** guys. The offense has been scoring runs all season at a challenging pace to sustain. That's like saying the sky is blue. Tulo has hit his whole career and he and Martin are in slumps. They will come around and will get hot again. Just a matter of time. Lets hope its today.

There shouldn't really be "camps". Sabr numbers are the "uber" of assessing value of a player. Its a better mousetrap. But at the same time there are also intangibles that matter. I like to think I've learned a lot on the numbers from some of the guys on here. And I'm a guy whose 1st glove was a "Carl Yastrezemski Triple Crown" from 1967. Love me dem RBIs
