    Because we own the division title and we own the Rays? Cause neither of those things are true. Everybody is banged up this time of the year. If we didn't have a non travel off day yesterday it makes more sense to me. Not a huge deal. Hope Yips makes the plays and it helps JD

    ...We aren't IN the playoffs yet and we certainly don't have the division yet. I remember '87 all too well. All players are tired at this point. JD slumped early in the season for awhile and now. Doesn't mean he is tired. They happen throughout a season every season. Whatever....Gibby gonna Gibby.

    Amen Gov. That is a nasty bottom 4. I don't think get this at all. At least with Cola or Smoak there is a better chance of some upside at the plate. To give JD a day off in the field a day after a non travel off day? Must be something we aren't being told.

    The Fab 4? That is not encouraging at all. I do not understand this. We are in a pennant race coming off a day off non travel day for the team.

    That's BABIP mostly luck for Cola. I think his rate of ground balls finding holes is not sustainable. Cola isn't as good on D. Anyway they can platoon Cola in some.

    Guys, Cola's K rate is 26% and Smoaks is 27%. Smoaks BB rate is 4% higher than Cola's. Its surprising but look it up. It seems worse for Smoak cause he has had some brutal games lately. Ask for Cola to come in if you think he will hit LHP and we can suck up the loss on D, but don't think he doesn't K a lot too.

    With Goins @ 2B and Tulo @ SS we are a much better team. Who didn't think Tulo was going to bust out and get hot each and every AB? Tulo is a game changer and I hope he can make it back. He knows how rare these chances are after his one fleeting run with the Rockies.

    Hope Beltran does. Excellent player. I grew up loving the Hawk. Too bad his knees gave him so much trouble. He was a free swinger though.

    True...I remember the playoffs when he exploded into becoming a household name. Takes more than a peak. Not having any roid allegations will help him. I hope he makes it but his numbers vis a vis some not in make it tough.

    All our projections make me laugh. We were going to sweep ATL. Sale was going to beat NYY and now we expect Yankees to sweep them. We just have to play our games one at a time and execute. We will be fine if we do that. We can't worry about what the NYY or KC does.
