Argh. Injuries are a part of the game but it would be nice to have our best line up out there, just for a few games at least, to see what this team can do.
BALT and BoSox have had their primary offensive players on the field for most of the season.
For sure. Friend of mine was from small town AB...played in LA in their hey day with Gretzky. They went through stars like crazy there. He "dated" Alyssa Milano amongst others. One of the funniest stories he ever told me was when two team mates both got venereal warts from the same chick and had to compare notes on how to roto rooter them out lol.
It must be tough to resist the temptations with all the opps they have and dough.
Just reading what happened today. Am I ever glad I missed this one. Sounds like another good Stro start and quiet bats again. Cecil has been a lot better. BABIP hasn't been good to him. Didn't see it but it sucks he gave up another high leverage dinger. Still think we should extend him. Buy low. We have seen how effective he can be and nothing fundamentally has changed with his stuff.
Good start really except it was another outing where he gave up a lot of hard contact on 94-96 MPH FBs and several key hits with 2 strikes.
He clearly wasn't trusting his secondary stuff much and they were sitting on the FB. If he doesn't have his secondary stuff he is pretty much 2015 Sanchez for LHH.
Think about the BoSox. They blew one to DET the other day they had sewed up. Last nite stung because we could have stolen a gm we probably should have lost anyway, but it happens. I'm sure the O's are pissed they blew a big early lead yesterday. Key is how our Jays respond today.
It was a B line up with 4 starters missing. We K'ed 15 times. We played sloppy D and our closer got beat.
Liriano, Benoit and Grilli were excellent tonight on the positive.
new day tomorrow.
BJMB is angry tonight my friends....
That was a colossal f*** up loss all round with a B squad line up and a great Liriano start. Shake it off and get em tomorrow.
Yup. The 0-2 change on the tying HR was floater. That was one ugly loss snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...even after a 15K night at the plate.
