You weren't what we what we paid for. You cost us Thor and only gave us 6 WAR.
But you chewed up many decent starts and genuinely seemed like you had a lot of smarts.
You brought us Thole and the worst playoff hammering in our history. Who knew Cliff Pennington had such a decent fastball?
A seemingly very nice guy, who forever could not shake the cost of bringing him here. There were moments that transcended our general hatred of the trick pitch that made you famous; prolonged your career and got you a NL Cy Young award. Your acquisition permanently scarred AA's reputation with many, and offset some of the brilliance of moves that he made like JD deal.
Sincerely, wish him well in his future path but the time here, even at a much reduced cost, has come to end I hope. Thanks for the memories and a class approach regardless of the adversity that you faced on the bump and with the fan base.
