  1. Point is the players produce and stop runs and also win/lose the games Over the course of the season it will even out. Managers don't effect the outcome
  2. Cito and gibbons are very similar. They both had weird allegiance to different guys Gibbons actually has devised much better lineup than cito
  3. This indicates to me that gibbons in doing a great job, not that he cost us the games
  4. How do you come up with this arbitrary number?
  5. I'd would be unbelievably excited if the Jays jumped in hard and doubled down with Eddy Martinez. Sadly, I am resigned that that will go half in and stop after Vlady
  6. May as well start it now. Seems like people like to throw around blame without facts
  7. He's been a very good hitter so far this year But remember Francisco last season? He started out hot too
  8. sounds like he may not like to work in the off season. not good for a guy who may not be athletic enough to stick at SS
  9. but I think the delebar for thames works out similarly in the Jays favour. Trades were prob a wash. two journeyman OF for two journeyman relievers
  10. Is that a good move by the manager? Double steal - nice
  11. that is true it appears that they like to wait for injuries to recover (saunders/bautista) and will ride out that problem
  12. or Blair has connections with the Blue Jays and has years of baseball experience either way......
  13. I don't believe quality closers are traded for spare parts? to get a quality closer in season, you will have to give up at least one quality prospect
  14. next year would be ARB 3 year. http://www.spotrac.com/mlb/cincinnati-reds/aroldis-chapman/
  15. or a closer and move Cecil down to 8th inning guy also works.
  16. what about this year? for the Bluejays right now?
  17. did you watch him pitch the last half of 2014? He sucked
  18. there are no unsigned guys out there that will be a significant bullpen improvement are there? When you say money, do you mean Papelbom?
  19. Inventory of young pitchers 1. Stro (torn ACL out for 015) 2. Hutch 3. Sanchez 4. Osuna (used in MLB bullpen) 5. Norris AAA 6. Castro AAA (current injury to index finger...) 7. Matt Boyd AA 8. Hoffman High A 9. SRF Low A according to Jeff Blair article today, the Jays realize that a significant bullpen addition is required. The though of trading Norris to get this piece is being considered especially with the progress of Hoffman. Is that the right guy to trade? I'd lean to moving Sanchez, but he probably doesn't get you the same asset in return If you don't want to move Norris/Hoffman you're not going to get anything back other than filler. What is the play for AA??
  20. so the current bullpen is okay? to get a quality closer, you're going to have to give up something that hurts
  21. a significant arm like Chapman from the Reds for instance??
