  1. I hope its an overpay
  2. I like that they are coming back down, but the way the entire staff was clicking on all cylinders earlier Makes me wonder if they were flirting with new sticky stuff. They may have put it away now until playoffs but we will see if all of a sudden they start clicking again. I dont trust those f***ers.
  3. Dont forget they also got a catcher for Brad f***in Hand
  4. Based on the Tweet earlier on.....you never kow he may sign by Toronto in final round of MLB draft Detroit Edison's Gregory Pace Jr. was expected to be selected early in the MLB draft. But the waiting game went from rounds to days for the Pace family, until he got selected in the final round. Detroit Edison baseball standout Greg Pace was projected to be selected in the top five rounds of the MLB draft this week. But the waiting game went from rounds to days for the Pace family, until he got selected in the final round by the Toronto Blue Jays. By Tuesday evening, Pace was watching episodes of Vampire Diaries when his name got called in the 2022 MLB draft. "I’m like are you sure?" Pace recalled as how he reacted when he heard the news. Truth is, while waiting for his name to get called, he watched every round for three days, but the final round. But sure enough, the Blue Jays did in fact call his name while his mom held out hope and watched the TV. LaQuitta, Greg's mother, screamed with joy as she heard the television say, "the Toronto Blue Jays select, Gregory Pace JR, an outfielder from Detroit Edison." "There were obviously feelings of disappointment, but at the end of the day I don’t think rounds matter," said Pace confidently. "I think we’re all reaching the same goal all going to the MLB one day." To know Greg Pace is to know that he is grounded, unassuming, and ready to work. "I'm just thankful that my name was in the draft and you just gotta take a chance that not a lot of people’s name got called," said Pace." It means a lot, a lot of joy, happiness. You look back at it, that's a lot of hard work paid off." "Outside of baseball one thing I do value is my family and friends and just looking at the people who were in my corner supporting me throughout the whole process, I couldn’t thank them enough" said Pace as he recalled the important of his "tight circle" of friends and family. So now it’s time to decide between playing at the University of Michigan where he committed or signing directly with Toronto and beginning his professional career at the age of 17. "If it’s me going pro right now, or me going to Ann Arbor for three years and then coming up… there are a lot of things that are out of my control, but I can control what I can," said Pace. "So whatever option is best for me and my family I think I’m going to go with it." Pace said he had a feeling throughout the recruiting process and sort of always knew it would be Toronto. The Blue Jays scout came to nearly every high school game of his and was approachable each time he saw Greg. "They're a young team, capable, they’re building a lot of structure and what are the odds it’s the team out of the country," Pace said with a smile. "So now I have to get a passport." So first step, get a passport. Second step, get to work. And to be in the position to prove himself, is a position Greg Pace said he is made for. "The journey is never easy. There will be a lot of obstacles that you have to go around, come around, but nothing is impossible," said Pace
  5. I think we sign all but for Rd 20 Pace and RD12 Nolan Perry
  6. Blue Jays, Vinny Nittoli Agree To Minor League Deal By Anthony Franco | July 22, 2022 at 10:19pm CDT The Blue Jays are signing reliever Vinny Nittoli to a minor league contract, reports Robert Murray of FanSided (Twitter link). The 31-year-old recently opted out of a similar arrangement with the division-rival Yankees. A former 25h-round pick, Nittoli has spent the bulk of his career in the Mariners organization. He reached the big leagues with Seattle last year, getting the briefest cup of coffee with one inning of relief in his only appearance. The M’s outrighted him off their 40-man roster and later released him, and he caught on with the Twins for the stretch run. That agreement with Minnesota didn’t result in a big league look, and Nittoli returned to the open market as a minor league free agent, where he caught on with New York. Assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for the entirety of the 2022 campaign, the right-hander worked 36 2/3 innings across 22 appearances. He posted a 3.44 ERA, punching out a strong 29.9% of batters faced against a fine 8.8% walk rate. He’ll add some non-roster depth behind a Toronto relief corps that ranks 21st in MLB with a 4.11 ERA.

  11. Yeah Mayo says he could move fast and could help bullpen this year. Also says he is gonna break a ton of bats.
  12. General manager Ross Atkins and Schneider will hold a press conference at 3:30 p.m. ET to discuss the changes.
  13. I will say this though, Baltimore is 3 behind us, If they pass us some heads are gonna roll.
  14. I know, WE need to score now and get them louder
  15. WTF, This ump, unless he has foreign substance on his hands he doesnt have to wipe s***, If he does then he should have been thrown. One or the other.
  16. Yes that would have been why the coaches all had a meeting in game
  17. Hard-throwing Zulueta continues to climb ladder Dark horse 'pen candidate Zulueta moves to Double-A It has been a year and a half since Cuban right-hander Yosver Zulueta became one of the stories of Spring Training in 2021. Flirting with 100 mph, “Zulu” represents something that the Blue Jays have struggled to develop -- a high-powered bullpen arm with the potential to rack up strikeouts. A knee injury wiped out Zulueta's 2021 season, but now that the Blue Jays’ No. 19 prospect is fully healthy, he’s on his third level of the season after opening at Low-A Dunedin. On Thursday, Zulueta debuted with Double-A New Hampshire, and while he allowed a pair of runs over 1 2/3 innings (46 pitches), a run of success at this level could put him on Toronto's radar late in the season. With Zulueta and No. 18 prospect Adrian Hernandez, who has pitched well at New Hampshire and Triple-A Buffalo this season, the Blue Jays are finally seeing some of their bullpen options materialize. Keep an eye on Zulueta’s next few outings. He has been starting games, but he could be an interesting multi-inning bullpen option -- if not by September, then certainly in 2023. https://www.mlb.com/bluejays/news/toronto-blue-jays-top-mlb-prospects-updates-2022
  18. Yeah good question, Thats why Shapiro loses his s*** when he hears the Jays have an advantage.
  19. MLB Draft Day getting closer here is CBS Mock Draft Blue Jays first Pick. 23 Blue Jays Pick: RHP Kumar Rocker, Tri-City ValleyCats ($3,075,300 slot value) The fun new rumor, which was first mentioned by The Athletic, is several clubs are looking at Rocker as a candidate to pitch in their MLB bullpen this year. The White Sox did that with Garrett Crochet in 2020 (and Chris Sale in 2010) and could be a possibility. The Padres, Phillies, Red Sox, and maybe the Angels would make sense too. The stars align for the Blue Jays as well. They aren't afraid to take risks on draft day (they used the No. 19 pick on Gunnar Hoglund last year, when he was early in his Tommy John surgery rehab), their bullpen needs help, and their World Series window is wide open. (CBS Sports top 30 rank: No. 25)
  20. Yeah, I just noticed he's listed as starting for them tonight, I wasn't aware of his promotion, NICE!!
