  1. LOL Francona grabbed a batting helmet to celebrate with Naylor
  2. Came across this little tidbit report on CBS Sports Ricky Tiedemann, SP, Toronto Blue Jays 2022 minors: 5-1, 1.40 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, 58 IP, 19 BB, 90 K I've been meaning to write about Tiedemann since about the second week of the season, when it first became clear he was poised to be one of the top left-handed pitching prospects in baseball. His production has only improved with a move up to High-A, where he has a 0.96 ERA, though I'm sorry to report he just had his worst start, allowing (gulp) a season-high four hits. Between the two stops, he has a 67 percent strike rate and a 19 percent swinging-strike rate. Improved velocity has made his already excellent changeup all the more devastating. Even as a 19-year-old, he looks near untouchable.
  3. LOL that was one of many times that he walked into that dugout, but alright, maybe I shouldn't say it was a disgrace, for the over sensitive ones. I apologise, lets move on.
  4. I dont, I hope they are wrong because if the Jays actually think Romo might be better then the stuff in the minors, then our farm system is in big trouble.
  5. He'll be one we show interest in, within the next few weeks.
  6. Not sure what you guys saw, but the Angels feed showed him cursing and swearing and flipping birds multiple times to numerous people not just once he was out of control and in my mind it was a disgrace. I dont care how many games he got Im just saying it was bad.
  7. I agree 100% with this, Im not sure but as I mentioned in another thread I think Zulu could be lost in Rule 5 this year and if thats the case it makes this signing so much worse than it already is.
  8. No to the first 2 but yes to Zulu, I think he is rule 5 eligible this winter so why not see what you have. That is the move i would have made instead of Romo.
  9. Yeah that was a disgrace.
  10. Our manager will have him in high leverage spots in no time
  11. So in order to put him on the roster you have to make room on the 40 man and 26 man, losing a pitcher. Who is moved Shatkins is bad with bullpen management
  12. Would not be surprised if that thumbs broke.
  13. Ooohh never thought of that!! They will pay Judge whatever he wants. I agree with everyone else that the Yankees wont trade him, but with the season he is having, you know his price is only going up from a price the Yanks weren't willing to pay.
  14. I think he is done. He hasnt had a good full season for years. Another contract that hasnt aged well. And it still has 2 or 3 more years left
  15. I have to admit. I have been voting for all Jays almost everyday, I didnt realise it would turn out like this, but This is great, If this was the final voting with Kirk, Vlady, Bo and George all getting voted in with Espinal second a well as Teo and Lourdes in 7 and 8. I can see them changing it from Fan voting.Keep voting guys its looking great. Huge difference in voting for Marcus this year as well. I know he had a horrid start but wow his voting is way down...
  16. 17 walks and they still manage to lose, Now thats a bad day.
  17. He may not be as good as Manoah but Id sooner have Lance Lynn in a heartbeat over our #4 or #5
  18. Blue Jays To Select Max Castillo, Outright Bowden Francis By Darragh McDonald | June 18, 2022 at 10:25pm CDT The Blue Jays are going to select the contract of right-hander Max Castillo, per Alfonso E. Saer Gomez. The Blue Jays have an open spot on their 40-man roster, due to the outright of right-hander Bowden Francis, per his transactions tracker at MLB.com. A corresponding move on the active roster has not been announced. An international signing of the Blue Jays out of Venezuela, Castillo made his professional debut in his age-17 season in 2016. Since then, he’s worked his way up the minor league ladder, working primarily as a starting pitcher. This year, between Double-A and Triple-A, he’s thrown 56 1/3 innings with a 1.92 ERA, 28.8% strikeout rate and 10.8% walk rate. There’s certainly some good fortune in there, as Castillo has a .203 BABIP and 89.8% strand rate on the year. Nonetheless, he’s showed enough to earn a spot on the club’s roster. It’s not clear what role Castillo will play for the Jays, though the pitching staff has taken a hit in recent days with the Tommy John surgery of Hyun Jin Ryu. That has bumped Ross Stripling from a long relief role and into a primary rotation slot. Castillo could potentially head to the bullpen and attempt to take over the job of the long man out of the bullpen.
