  1. wRC+ would adjust for that though, no? Everyone's facing the same level of competition generally.
  2. Could be that they know the DH spot is going to get used a lot in the near future with them trying to get Moreno and Kirk both into as many games as possible so they took the chance to give Vlad an extra rest day.
  3. Promoted to AAA* He started the season in AA and destroyed the pitching there. 155 wRC+ in 186 PA.

  5. Worthless sample size alert: 17-year-old Kendry Chirinos is 6 for 9 in his first three games in the DSL with 1 strikeout and 1 walk in 11 plate appearances.
  6. No idea how it happened. It was just mentioned that he has a fractured left wrist in Kaitlyn McGrath's recent column.
  7. Gabriel Martinez has a fractured left wrist. Explains why he hasn't played since being taken out mid at-bat last week
  8. JaysAllMighty may have posted an idiotic take but I'm really not a fan of editing someone else's comments. That power should literally never be used except for extremely rare circumstances where you need to add something to a thread OP or change a title or something. Pretty blatant abuse of mod powers.
  9. There are almost no situations where teams pull their long reliever after 23 pitches (especially when 19 of the pitches were strikes) when their starter didn't get out of the first inning. That never happens. Games where your starter threw 0.2 IP are exceptions when it comes to reliever usage. Teams have long relievers for literally those situations.
  10. And given all of that, Trevor Richards getting a second inning makes more sense to you than Thornton coming back out?
  11. You're asking if teams look at pitch counts to determine when to pull a pitcher?
  12. He can buy him a Jr. Chicken from McDonalds considering he's probably living below the poverty line as a 29 year old career minor leaguer.
  13. Thornton gets 23 pitches and Richards gets 36. f***ing gimps running this team.
  14. Feel like a little more hustle from Springer there woulda scored a run. Edit: Yup.
  15. Kirk should be the starting catcher in the All-Star game and it's really not close.
  16. That might be the slowest steal attempt I've ever seen.
  17. The Jays need to throw Richards off the team bus next time they're traveling.

  19. I could be wrong about this (and I probably am) but I think the trembling is actually the trainer shaking/pulsating that area during their assessment. I feel like I've seen that same type of trembling on several of their injury checks.
  20. Laika's "rooted in the brain" comment was obviously a joke, lol. Good info though. TIL.
