  1. Game #142 Toronto Blue Jays (Hatch) @ Baltimore Orioles (Akin) Schedule | Standings | FanGraphs | News | Video | Spotlight | Twitter | Reddit | Instagram
  2. GRITTY. f***ING. WIN. This is the most superstitious I've ever been about a game I think. At some point when they were down 7-3, I told myself "I'm f***ing positive they're going to win this if I just stop watching." And I stopped watching. And they kept scoring. And every time I'd flip the game back on, someone would line out or some s*** to end an inning so I just stopped checking in. But every time I checked MLB.com, the Jays had scored more runs. I still don't know how most of the runs were scored. The second I checked Gameday in the 9th, Romano gave up a hit to Mountcastle so I said f*** that and closed out of it, lmao.
  3. Two wins down. 21-8. Three wins down. 20-8. Four wins down. 19-8. Five wins down. 18-8. Six wins down. 17-8. Seven wins down. 16-8. Eight wins down. 15-8. Nine wins down. 14-7.

  5. lol you don't gotta justify splurging to me. I StubHubbed two Premium Dugout tickets for me and my wife at the first Jays game back in Toronto and it cost like $950 for both. Probably not a good decision but I was excited and felt it was a once or twice in a lifetime chance to see the Jays back after so many days (I say twice because there's a small chance it happens again if they vacate the dome for renovations/rebuilding).
  6. I'm guessing he bought them secondhand. I don't think that's what those seats cost at face value.
  7. I also don't understand why it's being completely overlooked that Merryweather just barely missed making the play on that f***ing chump Mullins' bunt. If the ball doesn't slip out of his glove on that play, nobody scores. If Kirk gets Mullins out at 2nd, the inning probably ends in a tie as well. It wasn't just terrible pitching that resulted in those 3 runs.
  8. That play started in disaster, ended the right way. Use that to gain some momentum and turn things around.
  9. The O's have Ray scouted better than any other team. He always struggles against them it seems.
  10. First time the Blue Jays have trailed in a game on this road trip, lol.
  11. Pretty funny article on this series from Defector. https://defector.com/the-orioles-must-help-vladimir-guerrero-jr-hit-for-the-triple-crown/
  12. I appreciate this, thank you for your kind words. Good luck and I can't wait for Rutschman and Moreno to battle over the title of best catcher in the league in a few years. Will be fun.
  13. I wonder if they should have rested Springer a bit more. You can afford to against the Orioles and leadoff placebo Bichette might be the greatest player of all time.
  14. What the f***, I can't believe this is actually true.
  15. This is an all-timer.
  16. Game #140 Toronto Blue Jays (Ray) @ Baltimore Orioles (Ellis) Schedule | Standings | FanGraphs | News | Video | Spotlight | Twitter | Reddit | Instagram
  17. I know we've had a pretty fun rivalry with that community in the past and we got some of our best jokes and jabs in when the situation called for it. This thread isn't for that. As many people here who've been around since those days know, Weams was the managing editor and one of the main people in charge of Orioles Hangout. Michael "Weams" Williams had been battling Stage 4 kidney cancer since at least March. His wife Denise, who had been giving regular updates to the Orioles community there on his condition, announced on Saturday that he had passed away. The last game he watched was his beloved Orioles defeating the Yankees in an unlikely upset, 4-3. As we all know now, that was the first game in the Yankees current 6-game loss streak and it helped begin the downturn that resulted in their recent 4-game sweep at the hands of the Blue Jays. I'm not going to pretend that we didn't have our issues with their community and how things were moderated there but at the end of the day, we are all united in our love for sports. That transcends petty baseball rivalries. I know this won't be read by anyone it matters to but I just wanted to put this out there anyway to express my condolences and sympathies for Michael's family and the Orioles Hangout forum, who I'm sure are having a tough time dealing with the loss of a lifelong sports fan that was a pillar of their community. Rest in peace, Michael. As one of the people who was involved in the little battle between our forums, I apologise if I said or did anything in the heat of a sports rivalry that upset ya.
