  1. Watch the f***ing Rockies take Hoffman. This pick is stressing me out, this draft needs to happen now.
  2. http://mlb.mlb.com//news/article/tor/blue-jays-enter-draft-with-two-of-top-11-picks?ymd=20140602&content_id=77738658&vkey=news_tor With the annual first-year player draft just a few days away (http://i.imgur.com/GkHkVKq.gif?1), I know that a lot of people will be tuning in and that not everyone has a strong understanding of the amateur scene and what "good players" to keep an eye on. This is a really good piece for those in that group of people that follow the Jays but just don't know much about the system or the upcoming draft. It basically outlines everything you need to know about what the Jays can do with their two first-round picks, their most significant prospects currently in the minor leagues, and their success (or lack thereof) in recent drafts. If you would like to get more hands-on with the upcoming draft and want further, more in-depth information, just dive into the 2014 MLB Draft thread for a wealth of information provided by the hunting and hard work of ace and co.
  3. Wow, didn't think I'd see Lawrie head-and-shoulders above both the guys I most often compare him to, and in literally every facet of the game no less.
  4. lol, are you joking, or did you not actually read the article?
  5. Jose Bautista made history with the back-to-back 9-3 putouts: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/jose-bautista-and-the-9-3-putout/
  6. Yeah a lot of people haven't really appreciated this fact, but the management of the position players and all of the fluid platoons have been pretty damn genius this year. I don't think any other team is rotating this many players over this many positions, and it will only get more interesting when Rasmus gets back (I'd assume he'll take Pillar's spot on the 25)
  7. Laughed so f***ing hard at these three posts http://i.imgur.com/RN70TUF.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/RN70TUF.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/RN70TUF.gif
  8. Wow didn't expect this, incredibly happy with this move. I honestly believed that they'd put him into the bullpen and he'd end up blowing a win or two before getting the demotion, but they actually went through with it. Good on the management, this was the only right move.
  9. f***ing Orioles 4 singles in a row, 0 outs, bases juiced, they're about to destroy the Astros. To watch the Red Sox / Orioles games: http://www.strikeout.co/
  10. Yankees fans booing D-Rob off the mound, so f***ing devoid of class.
  11. I would have been f***ing pissed if they dropped 180M on a guy that never threw a pitch in the majors. So many better ways to spend that money that would make the team better. Just a retarded deal all around.
  12. I'm happy Gose did that. Part of your growing pains, get mistakes like that out of the way early in the season and early in your career so you learn from them and don't make them again, especially in massive situations like Lawrie's moronic steal of home with Joey at the plate and the bases juiced. He tested himself, he failed, he's not going to do it again.
  13. Plays like the one he just made and plays like this require a strong baseball IQ. You can expect anyone to believe that he's had excellent catchers his whole life. Catchers can only ask you to throw what you've got, and the fact that he gets the ball where the catcher is asking for it consistently is also a testament to Buehrle himself, not the catcher. The statement that a guy has had an amazing career, but it's not to his credit, is kinda absurd.
  14. Buehrle needs to become a f***ing coach for this team when he retires, the guy's presence of mind and baseball IQ is just genius.
  15. We blew them out 12-2 yesterday and got stomped 6-1 the game before. Literally the only game that applies to your statement was the first, and we were winning that until the 27th out. Nobody cares if there's a guy on base, Buehrle leaves them stranded every inning. When a guy throws 75 MPH pitches, people WILL get on base. Chappy is right in saying that you did overreact. If everytime we score a run, they "come right back" with a stranded baserunner, everybody here that isn't you will take that.
  16. These bobblehead commercials are so f***ing stupid and creepy.
