  1. I think if you want to be a regular on these boards, you kinda have to learn to become numb to BBBB's trade proposals.
  2. This. I only watched into Season 2 (haven't gotten around to going any further into the show), but he was by far the funniest character to me.
  3. You're trying too hard. Also @Lafrentz, I'm not sure how reliable it is with Netflix (haven't personally tried it), but Hola, unlike Unlbock-Us, is free.
  4. There are plenty of ways. You could always torrent it, stream it online, or use Hola Unblocker (which also works with Hulu, MTV and everything else) to watch American Netflix while you're in Canada.
  5. Yeah I was literally just reading on this. Destiny won Game of the Year, but a lot of people said it was over-rated and didn't live up to the hype. One 2014 release I've really liked is Far Cry 4. Got it for free with my GPU and it's been amazing so far. Really feeling these sales on Far Cry 3 and BioShock... f*** it, I'm doing it. http://i.gyazo.com/6e69512d498e0803f4e440b63a801b7a.png
  6. Merry Christmas, guys.
  7. http://clatl.com/binary/1953/1367496144-golf-clap.gif Just built a new rig over Black Friday week. The GTX 970 is a f***ing beast. WHERE?
  8. Feliz navidad, Ang.
  9. Some random Blue Jays stuff:
  10. If it had been an Asian baby, those would have been some real shenanigans. I read, as I took a spoonful of my chicken fried rice.
  11. Happy Holidays, Boxy http://i.gyazo.com/fe4897c718abc97a2399f75da7976005.png
  12. This is probably a contender for best thread title.
  13. This. Stoeten has always been an *******, and he's always had the freedom to post whatever garbage he wants, even when he was with DJF. That being said, I only posted this because it wasn't information he created, it was referencing the Japanese papers. I also don't know if anyone's dumb enough to be "gobbling this up like gospel". Everyone knows that they should take these reports with a couple cubes of salt, and I said as much in my op. Still, it's information at a time where there's no other news, so it's worth discussing.
  14. Right, and I'm wondering just how long you think it takes to write a post of that length? You seem to really resent the concept of paragraphs, since this isn't the first or even second time you've made a comment on it. I don't know if maybe Twitter is more your cup of tea, but I'd rather make one post and say everything I want to say than make 15 different fragmented posts to deliver the same message. Little miss Boxy has been taking pot shots at me and making personal insults towards me for well over a year now. I'm sure if you add it all up you'll get more than 140 characters. Oh whoops, another paragraph. Sue me.
  15. Sure? I said what I wanted to say. Do paragraphs bother you? Or does it take you a particularly long time to construct them?
  16. I'm not "supporting clickbait hacks" by linking to the only guy that's keeping tabs on the Japanese news in a story (yes) that was given credence when AA admitted they had scouted and were interested in the player. A Japanese outlet saying that the Jays have made an offer on a guy they've been said to like is more news-like than most of the other stuff that's usually written and discussed about this team. Also, I think Stoeten might unfortunately be immune to your genuinely noble crusade against s*** sports writers. His cult-like following of bearded hipsters isn't going anywhere.
  17. There is absolutely no merit in wasting away originality on an insignificant tick such as yourself. I don't have even an iota of motivation in doing so. Speaking of originality though, you are what, the fourth in a line of insecure twats on this forum (after CHP, Moogy and Smokey, great company by the way) to bombard me with quote notifications about how every little thing I post on this site is an unjust atrocity inflicted upon your loved ones? This might be an earth-shattering revelation for you, and I'm sorry to blindside you with this if it is (truly sorry), but I really couldn't even begin trying to give a s*** about how you feel about me without falling asleep in the process. I apologize if I inadvertently gave your feelings a booboo, but I'm afraid you're just gonna have to find a way to live on in this cruel world after this emotionally taxing experience. Oh lookie, I think I just answered the question in your first post. http://wac.450f.edgecastcdn.net/80450F/thefw.com/files/2013/05/Nicholson.gif
  18. Yeah, unfortunately he's the only one in Toronto that's covering this story.
  19. In that case, you must absolutely loathe living with yourself.
  20. I'm on my iPad so I can't post the full article but here's the link: http://andrewstoeten.com/2014/12/23/japanese-report-jays-have-made-formal-offer-to-toritani/ I'm not 100% positive if this was already posted or not, but given that the last few pages of the thread about second basemen is unsurprisingly full of useless off-topic garbage, I'm gonna go out on a limb. The translations in the above article also mention that the discussions between the Jays and Boras aren't going smoothly (shocker, I know). All said, I'd still really temper my expectations, given how hazy and unintelligible this entire situation really is.
  21. I kinda want Zobrist.
  22. To be honest, as much as I dislike the idea of trading for Hamels, this isn't exactly true at all. If Hamels was on the market right now he'd get a contract as big or bigger than the Lester deal. Hamels pitched to a 2.46 ERA in 2014, has 34.4 career WAR and is 30 years, 11 months and 25 days old. Over the last seven years, Hamels has pitched above 200 innings six times, and 190 innings once. Lester pitched to a 2.46 ERA in 2014, has 35.4 career WAR and is 30 years, 11 months and 15 days old. Over the last seven years, Lester has pitched above 200 innings six times, and 190 innings once. Hamels contract as it stands: 96M over 4 years if his 2019 option is bought out, at a 24M AAV. 110M over 5 years if his 2019 option is picked up, at a 22M AAV. 114M over 5 years if his 2019 option vests, at a 22.8M AAV. No matter how you look at it, Hamels' contract is far below market value for what he'd make in free agency. Not only do you save 40M by trading for Hamels as opposed to signing him, there's also probably no chance he'd prefer the Jays to the other teams that would be interested if he was on the open market. Now whether or not he's worth the prospect capital required to acquire him is a whole other discussion (spoiler alert: he isn't).
  23. I don't know, I'd probably do this trade as well, but I don't like the idea of giving up on Smoral so soon. Norris was in a similar situation last year and he eventually turned it around. Smoral was very highly regarded going into the draft. I think they should look at him for at least one more season before deciding what to do with him.
  24. That was actually my question lol. Thanks for posting this, I didn't know that he'd already done this chat. I don't think I've ever been as optimistic about a Jays draft prospect as I am about Hoffman. I felt really good about Norris, Stroman and Pentecost (though I also felt really good about Anderson and Smoral...) but Hoffman is on a different level.
