  1. That four game series at Camden at the end of the season terrifies the living f*** out of me. Even if they've fallen into the cellar, if the Jays are in a close race near the finish line and the Orioles can somehow factor into spoiling it, their **** fans will never forget it.
  2. Baltimore. The Angels have a much better team, and their odds of making the playoffs are much higher. While anything can happen, the O's look like a sub-500 team going forward. Still laughed at the Schoop play though. What a good challenge by the Angels, and what a terrible job by the O's.
  3. This thread is gold. http://forum.orioleshangout.com/forums/showthread.php/149355-Are-the-Blue-Jays-going-to-surpass-us-now
  4. Jays bullpen moves into top 10 after today's game. Getting carried by Osuna (1.3 fWAR) and Hendriks (1.2 fWAR). Top 3 by xFIP:
  5. You shut your whore mouth.
  6. http://mediadownloads.mlb.com/mlbam/2015/08/08/14-415306-2015-08-08/web_cut/mlbtv_346855883_1200K.mp4
  7. FA this year. He's a two-month rental.
  8. Dickey moves into top 50 RA9-WAR among all starters in 2015 (#41). Price comes in at #5, Buehrle at #22 and Estrada slots in at #60.
  9. This is why some people prefer to look at losses instead of games behind. The Jays are still 5 losses behind the Yankees.
  10. I just wish he'd cut his god damn hair.
  11. I was one of the guys that wanted the team to drop Dickey like a bag of s***, so I'm stoked that he's turned it around in such a big way. I'm actually very impressed that he was able to shut the Yankees down like he did, I thought they might be able to square up the knuckler after just having seen Wright a few days ago. With how badly they seem to be failing against knuckleballers, I wouldn't be against the team trying to line up Dickey starts with the Yanks like they're doing for Price.
  12. Except it doesn't. It assumes the Jays will play to their talent level, which is a .545 win percentage over the rest of the season (highest in the AL). They have a 77% playoff chance, and their expected win-loss by the end of the year is 87-75.
  13. I saw that one live on the Network so I'm not sure if they cut any of it out, but it was extremely cringeworthy. Made me feel so uncomfortable just watching it. He does, and he obviously knows how to bounce back from those kind of performances. His last start as a Tiger was against the Rays and he was awful. He later admitted that he was putting unnecessary pressure on himself to beat his old team and how he tried to straighten that out in his first start for the Jays. Looks like it worked. He was already set up to start the wild card game, now he'll just get way more rest than he needs prior to it. The Price start drew 1.39M, highest in Jays history behind Opening Day 2013 which drew 1.40M. They're averaging something like 650K-ish I think?
  14. Now that they've made the predictable announcement that Price is going to get an extra day off after tomorrow's start to set up another match against the Yankees on Friday, here's his revised tentative schedule: 08/03 v Minnesota Twins --------- (W) 5-1 08/08 @ New York Yankees -------- 08/14 v New York Yankees -------- 08/19 @ Philadelphia Phillies --- 08/25 @ Texas Rangers ----------- 08/30 v Detroit Tigers ---------- 09/04 v Baltimore Orioles ------- 09/10 @ New York Yankees -------- 09/15 @ Atlanta Braves ---------- 09/20 v Red Sox ----------------- 09/25 v Tampa Bay Rays ---------- 09/30 @ Baltimore Orioles ------- A few big changes. Delaying his next start by one day will actually knock three days off his schedule because of how off-days and the following Yankee starts will set up, and this will in turn cost the Jays one start by Price (he'll no longer get a start in the last series of the season at the Trop). Some other changes: obviously he'll now face the Yankees four times instead of three, he'll get two starts against the Orioles where before he had none, and he won't get any starts against the Angels or the Athletics.
  15. How do you feel about this? http://forum.orioleshangout.com/forums/showthread.php/149508-It-s-Time-to-Spend-Some-Money-It-s-Time-to-take-a-risk-this-off-season?p=3881888#post3881888
  16. FanGraphs WAR is less blasphemous. http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2015&month=33&season1=2015&ind=0&team=14&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=
  17. I don't know what this means but I'm open to experimentation.
  18. Yeah, I'm the one necro-bumping threads from 2013, spamming the forum with pictures of Denimtista and making horrifying "joke" posts about rotting flesh.
