  1. RA has provided great value over his contract. He has been around a 2 WAR pitcher, can eat up 200IP and has some added benefits like his defense on the mound and "Dickey effect". He wasn't and never will be worth what was given up for him however that is on AA, not Dickey. With all that being said, I doubt he comes back next year. 40+ year old knuckleballer whom already has worrisome stats this year (no strikeouts in 3 games, higher walks, etc) and while it may normalize over the season its not really encouraging heading into the future. Plus I want to be over and done with on the catching situation. I want there to be no excuses on why Martin can't "catch" a certain pitcher. Thole has cause issues with roster management in building a good bench and is not a MLB player. The $14M + w/e given to Thole can be reinvested better.
  2. I'd say things get rather.. HEATED on here when he gets on the mound. god dammit
  3. I agree with N049 on that. Next year you are looking at a rotation mixed up of: Stroman Hutch Norris Hoffman Osuna Sanchez (he'll get another change... weather we like it or not..) I want these guys to succeed as much as the next Jays fan but you need to have better depth to protect/develop the pitchers. Dickey and Burly are more than likely gone freeing about $30M in cap. You could find a decent pitcher or two with that for depth in the market this offseason. Obviously not a Price or Cueto but a Gallardo, Chen or see if Martin can convince Brunette to come here.
  4. Its highly unlikely Sanchez gets sent down before visiting the pen. He may be moved there for a while and Francsis sent down.
  5. From what I've seen of Russel Martin throwing guys out, he is more likely to find the strike zone than Sanchez.

  7. Why would you challenge this? Even Carrera knew he was out.
  8. Is Sanchez is your first love or something? I have never seen you blame the guy for anything.
  9. After seeing the O's implode last night, this is how I imagine them right now.. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XURJ15S9xEk/T6QGIlwtlrI/AAAAAAAABGE/LZER-vUpq8c/s1600/survivor-smile.gif
  10. Meh. I agree with him and looks like both Martin and Pete Walker too. "Hey Sanchez, you aren't getting f***ing Lucky tonight so how about throwing some god damn strikes eh?". I imagine something along those lines.
  11. Hey! Don't be so happy. As much as I don't believe in Sanchez at this time either, I still want him to ride the horse shoe that is up his ass to get us a win.
  12. You are generally a good poster, I don't mind you. But f*** you are pushing the ignore button with this Jeff Hoffman s***.
  13. Carrera goes from being the ledoff hitter to no. 9 hitter in 24 hour span. Poor guy!
  14. FatCow realizes that no one is fixing the broken gate and he can go out, enjoy life and loose track of time. However, to keep people from being suspicious of his activities he's started to make GDTs early. That sneaky f***!

  16. .360 BABIP, 2.2% BB, 29.6% K, 76 wRC+ .296 BABIP, 3.7% BB, 13.4% K, 82 wRC+ Guess which one is Pillar and which one is Lawrie.
  17. The only pitcher that is close to challenging Synder right now in our system is Norris, and even then I take Synder.
