That should be on the lack of depth. It's like blaming a fish for dying after pulling it out of the sea. CC could probably be a better 1B than Smoak. Not having depth and Pompey up has cost the team games.

There are more fair weather fans than real fans. Even a lot of BJs fan are not really baseball fans, they are just BJs fans. They only watch the team, not the sport. After 20+ years of suckage and another slow start you cannot blame them for not showing support in person but rather at home via TV or something else. Once this team starts winning they'll be back. And be doucher. See KC fans.

Pretty much this. I imagine the Phlly asking for a combo of Norris, Pompey, Hoffman or Osuna at the very least. Parting with Pompey might be the toughest as he is really the only player we have in the outfield for the future. Bautista is getting old, Saunders a question mark, Pillar a 4th OF. -
