    Who left the door unlocked?! Smoak cannot play any other position but DH/1B and he isn't going to usurp EE/Bautista if they need to take the role. Last year they did that he ended up having back issues and injured himself. I know he injured himself in Oakland running hard to 1st but no need to have EE overwork in a position he wouldn't be any better than Colabello at.

    It is a shame that Smoak has been riding the bench for the season so far. After Navvy went down I bet he was excited and then Jose got injured. Poor guy, can't catch a break. While he has looked good in small sample sizes so far I hope he can eventually get a consistent string of games going. Also, can we take time to appreciate what a gong show the Navarro situation is? - Jays stated they could have traded him long ago if they wanted to get rid of his salary - Held onto him in hopes that another team's catcher is injured to drive up value - Gets injured himself and has now had setbacks on his return date - Currently overpaying for injured a backup bench catcher which they could have gotten rid of long ago For a team that has payroll concerns paying Navarro to do nothing is just a different level of bad asset management stupid.

    All of this Saunders hate has a some shades of Mekly. 1st Year, injured: OMG, he suckz. Why AA waste money on this Scrub and not get a real pitcher! f*** you AA. 2nd Year, not injured: OMG, he is the perfect 2nd hitter in a lineup. Why did AA let him go. f*** you AA. While the Jays have still said Saunders is "fine", I am going to guess that not having a part of your knee will still take some adjustment time to look good in the outfield and more than 32 PA to get caught up on the hitting.

    Why do people get offended or upset when people bring up stats? Oh no, someone is using a large sample size over a player's unsustainable small sample size to predict regression. They aren't being logical, they're just jerks with calculators that want to see baseball burn.
