    So many excellent prospects taken after as well: Kieboom (28), Hudson (34), Trammell (35), Jones (55), Alonso (64). Oh well, if Zeuch makes it as a no. 5 starter it is still a success. Great article as well! Looking forward to your AA one!

    If the Jays were looking to trade Pillar, would this be the type of return they'd get? I know Pillar has been historically better and projects better, but this is probably the closest comp for him.

    Shoemaker probably has a more productive season than Sanchez next year. I like the singing, having an additional year of control without any commitment is just gravy as well.

    JFC. At this prices I can see why teams are calling in for Stroman / Sanchez. I am happy for Happ. Not happy its with the Yankees but happy how this has turned out for him.     I mean, I wouldn't expect the Jays to try for any less with Stroman or Sanchez. I am not saying the Jays would get Trammell for Stroman or Sanchez, but you start high and go from there.

    Woah Spanky. Down boy. His last contract was 2.4M in arb. He should be had for around 2 years $4M. Maybe if the team wants some extra control 2 year, 4M with a team option for a 3rd year with a 1M buy out. But 10 Mil over 2 years? We'll see how this shakes out. I'll be shocked if he averages over 3M per.

    Posey was in that draft class, but outside of him doesn't look like much for catchers. Jason Castro is the only other one of note as Lawrie transitioned into 3rd and I have no idea who Kyle Skipworth is.

    Its the offseason boys! You know what that means? Talk about the draft! Who will be JF19 "Swaggerty" this year? I don't think Groshans was even in the top 30 last year at this point and Mize was not the top ranked prospect either. With that being said I believe the Jays will pick Jack Leiter, a RHP out of high school. Why? His father is Al Leiter lol.
