  1. Meh, just the part of drafting prospects you aren't able to sign. Every team has that. Cleveland has 3: 11 Wil Crowe, rhp, South Carolina R-R 6-2 250 Indians ’16 (21) 26 Joe Dunand, ss/3b, North Carolina State R-R 6-2 205 Indians ’14 (35) 48 K.J. Harrison, 1b, Oregon State bba_video_icon_red R-R 6-0 208 Indians ’14 (25) I guess technically as Steve Sanders is the new scouting director, should look at Boston's list. 2 Jeren Kendall, of, Vanderbilt bba_video_icon_red L-R 6-0 190 Red Sox ’14 (30) 30 David Peterson, lhp, Oregon bba_video_icon_red L-L 6-6 242 Red Sox ’14 (28) 53 J.J. Matijevic, of/1b, Arizona bba_video_icon_red L-R 6-0 206 Red Sox ’14 (22) Dang! Did not know they nabbed Kendall. Hopefully Sanders/Cherington magic has a few steals this draft.
  2. I enjoyed reading the meltdowns after EE signed with the Tribe. Damn casuals! ..its been a slow offseason. don't judge me.
  3. Nicely done! I'd only disagree on: - Feldman, move to indifferent. Given this team was in a playoff hunt/contention, making no-name prospect moves for playoff push/depth is a solid strategy. I understand he did suck aside from 3-4 innings. Also wouldn't mind Feldman back for depth actually, haha. - Upton, its a little too early to judge as he still has a year with the Jays. If he puts up 1+ WAR season for the Jays, it would be great considering the Jays are paying him for like .5 WAR for production. *Understand the prospects given up could "surprise" in the future and make both trades look bad.
  4. I too was confused at first, then I saw it was HERPDERP who posted then went to safely ignore the opinion.

  6. Yeah, but Moss actually has a knee and has averaged 130+ games the past 4 years. Saunders just played in his 3rd 130+ game season. Bit of a difference between the two.
  7. I mean, the biggest trade of Shapiro's career was probably trading Bartolo Colon and Drew for Stevens, Phillips, Lee and Sizemore. But sure, we'll go with your narrative instead. Not that Stroman + for Blackmon is rednok.
  8. He's got you there Hurl. He. Got. YOU. THERE!! I don't know if its just dumb luck or if the Rockies are actually targeting Stroman/pitchers with high GB%.
  9. So king, who do you like for the Jays newly acquired 25th pick? I am pulling for Seth Romero.. bring back that Romero name! /#scout E: s***, wait no. We get a comp pick. Dammit!
  10. Looks like MLB.com has their reports on the top 50 draft picks for 2017: http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2017/?list=draft I know a lot can change from now till the draft, but any in-the-know prospect followers have any burning preference on a player? From last year's draft, due to the Jays interest in drafting MLB bloodlines (to a degree) JJ Schwarz a potential pick if he's there? /baubau's crystal ball/

  12. He brings his guns. http://i.imgur.com/mYJkvd3.gif
  13. They don't. Move on.
  14. I am in the clear minority, but I did not want Fowler. I mean.... OH NO.... LE SKY IS FALLIN
  15. He hits hard, doesn't into double plays. As for hard% i just used it to compare vs the other hitters on the team. where can I improve GD? I need some brushing up!
  16. Backup plan? Who is in your first plan? He is an ideal candidate for me! Hard % Last year the Jays Hard% leaders were: 1. Jose 41.1% 2. Josh 40.4% 3. Eddie 39.0 % Moss' Hard% was 40.1%, and has been increasing over the past 3 years (33.1% - 2014 | 39.2% - 2015). GB% & FB% No Jay with a minimum of 70 PA had a GB% less than 30%. Moss' was 27.0%. Career 34.1% which would still put him as the 2nd lowest. Dude shouldn't hit into a lot of DPs. Most of his hits are Fly Balls too. He had 52.6% last year, no Jay had it that high. 1 Bad Month He did have a terrible September, had a bit of drop in Hard% (32.2%) but was still making mostly medium (45.8%) to hard contact. Most of his balls hit are naturally FB, but was a little high at 58.6%. Blaming the bad month to a .107 BABIP and not a decline in power or an injury concern. TLDR, a LHH who hits hard, and mostly hits fly balls likely equals 30+ HR playing in the ALE. Has position versatility (should mostly play DH to avoid any defensive liability) and was previously acquired by Cleveland too during Shapiro/Atkins days. That one bad month may have cost him some $$ but could end up saving the Jays a lot and a pick!
  17. Yes. I am entering BBB level. You jelly? P.S. You also take me too seriously.
  18. Sure, why not... if the Jays are getting prospects back similar to the Lariano trade (squeeze them like hell for Meadows!) and not giving up anything of note from the roster (Pompey?). Thanks for that article too, G-S!
  19. I did not realize how incredibly bad of a season Cutch had. Wow... what happened?
  20. Oh for sure! Wasn't advocating giving him a QO. Against it. Wasn't clear on my post, my bad. I'd bring him back for 5M or less. Maybe a 2 year 10/m with a team option year or one year 5/m with a team option.
  21. Saunder's value might be at a all time high right now. + A full season-ish + All-Star (marketable - throwy word) + 20+ HR + Highest Hard% for his career + 2nd best offensive career based on wRC+ Mind you his WAR isn't sexy but was brought down a lot by his defense and he won't improve on that. I don't mind Saunders being brought back as a 5th OF/DH role. I think he could excel there and provide decent value (1 WAR-ish). Pretty much what you'd expect if you went for a Brandon Moss or Napoli like player.
  22. Considering what the Astros gave up for Giles, Osuna should be fair. Have em' throw that Martes or Tucker guy too! On a serious note, after reliving the Giles trade, I did not realize how big of a disappointment Mark Appel is becoming.
  23. Name change sounds good! I can live with that if I lose - baubau might be old by then. Where is this "betting thread"?
  24. Welp, if you said batting then yes, wRC+ is the best. Meet back in 5 years? Our of curiosity, who are you project to be the top 5? I have Seager, Correa, Lindor, Bogaerts and Story up there. If Machado counts by then moving to SS permanently, him as well. Doubtful, but "dark horses" as well with Rodgers, Swanson and Crawford down that time.
  25. Damn straight! Man em up Spank.
