  1. Chances are, PA will want the same return at the end of the year. Only difference i can see is, might be a good enough period of MLB to mediate and get him for a reasonable figure. What i am counting on, they gonna get a real process to find someone else and they aren't going to corner themselves into just one option.
  2. He was chairman for a while, just wasn't on the website.
  3. 4 years? You can ask in O's forum, i'm sure they will be happy to remind you.
  4. Beeston sounds happy. He said what happened happened and he's happy to be here.
  5. If PA wanted Hoffman, Pentacost and Nay, the common denominator for all of them is that they are the best prospects outside the 40 man.
  6. They say you can't send major leaguers, in other words, players that are on the 40 man list.
  7. That should kill the O's movement for the year. Should also fill doubt with their GM.
  8. O's for sure. If Blue Jays lose, more reasons to hire him. If O's lose, his stock goes down and nobody wants him. He would love to get a promotion now when his stock is high rather than risk the chance of his stock going down which means he's stuck with PA for 4 more years.
  9. Hamels is very expensive, i doubt they get much unless they pay some of his money.
  10. Maybe now Rogers will feel bad and open the wallet to get Shields?
  11. I think he was told they couldn't find anyone right now so he will stay where he is for the 2015 season.
  12. Considering PA wanted at least Hoffman, Pentecost and Nay, i doubt he would have approved a deal even if it involved Mike Trout. It's pretty clear he didn't want any deal to happen and i'm happy for it.
  13. Of course not, you have a bet that DD will move to us within a month, you might lose the bet if it's over.
  14. Dear god, finally it's over.
  15. Yea, i don't see DD as better than AA. If we didn't have a GM i would be ok with DD, but otherwise it's stupid.
  16. I like 90% of AA's moves, i doubt i'd want DD to replace him. It's very stupid if DD means that AA is gone. I understand if we suck again this season and it's time for AA to go but otherwise no reason to force it.
  17. The best comparison is when a CFL team releases a player from contract in order to pursue an NFL career. Happens all the time and there is 0 compensation in those situations.
  18. Non compete in a league where you only have 29 other possible employers is pointless. If he works for any of the other 29 teams it's competition. As said above, non compete in normal situations are 99.9% of the time not even worth the paper they were written on.
  19. I still can't believe we drafted D.J Davis, he's like a worse version of Gose. What's even weirder, we messed up that pick and still managed to get Stroman with the next pick.
  20. Let's hope it's true...
  21. Stephen Brunt betts it's going to be done by the end of the day and Blue Jays will walk away from DD.
  22. Everyone should retweet that.
