    There are many countries in the world where they don't really record age of people so because of it, it's rather easy to cheat and claim to have a different age. He may be 20 for all we know but given his stuff, he would have a higher value if he claimed to be 18. You see the same thing quite often in Soccer in Europe, where you have players who came from Africa claim to be a certain age and then by the time they are "30-35", they look like they are 50 and can't play.

    AA went smart with Donaldson, he went 200k below the estimate and Donaldson went almost 1.5mil above the estimate. Was a much easier case for the Jays than Donaldson.

    The Vimo clip shows that he uses a different stance every time, i would guess he's very raw. Starling Heredia with a Bautista leg kick looks good, are we getting him? EDIT: I just noticed they rate him as the number 1 prospect in that upcoming draft, no way we are getting him.

    Who do they have that we need? We already took their future 2B, what next? They have no farm and their bullpen usually sucks.

    Funny, they are saying he had a 4 year 80M offer on the table and it wasn't the Cubs, Cubs only offered 3 year + option. He chose to give San Diego a discount.

    I guess the bigger question is, if it's his profession, does he actually make any money doing it? I would say no, but miracles do happen.

    Donaldson peaked at a late age though. Shields has been dominant for years.

    Could someone please explain to me how come such a talent like Shields gets to free agency so late as 33 years old? Shields has been dominant all his career and it looks like the major thing between him and a huge pay day is cause he's 33 and not 30-31.

    I'm pretty sure taxes between Ontario and California are a wash, specially when they calculate it based on where you pitch on every day. Cost of living is lower in California but i doubt he cares much about it.
