    I always wonder why we don't give more of a chance, it's not like he did anything wrong, why not test him in a higher level? Feels odd that players are sometimes being judged on things unrelated to baseball.

    We had some kind of depth before, it only takes you so long, if you need your depth to start more than a few games they will get exposed to why they are depth.

    Didn't they say he didn't sign earlier for 100M cause he didn't want to play for the team that offered it? What makes you guys think he's gonna want to play for us? No way AA/Beeston go ask for money unless they are certain he's willing to play for us.

    Yea, but it's not like i ignored his bad outings and only included his good ones. Stroman's second half was way better than his first so 130 innings as an average is kinda fair. Anyway, my point was, you can't really say Shields would be the ace and it's not even close...

    If you look at WAR/200 innings, Stroman is the ace and it's not even close. Stroman at 5WAR, Shields at 3.3WAR.
