Money wise they would have to move both Edwin and Bautista, in what world does that make sense? Even in Dodgers land it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Are you sure? Everyone quoting the Happ deal as a huge factor in why prices been going extremely high this year. It's like they are saying, if someone as bad as Happ can get 30M, someone of value is worth the whole farm.
I read an article a few months ago that looked at that aspect for NHL players. It said about third of the players didn't want to sign with Canadian teams because of the taxes. I'm sure it's same with baseball players too.
When has it ever happened that a team only used 5 starters in a single season? It just never happens, you probably need good 6 starters and another 2-3 fringe ones to have a chance.
