The 2015 Winter Meetings (Dec 7-10)
Orgfiller replied to GreekFatAss's topic in Toronto Blue Jays Talk
Makeup is the most overrated trait in athletes. Do you think Fernandez was just born with the ability to play baseball at an elite level? No, just like Stroman he had to constantly keep working hard to get to the level they're at right now. Also, it's not like he needs to be following a lot of advice from coaches anymore, being a top 5 talent pitcher and all. -

What reputable reporter would use the phrase "in a serious contract dance"?

And it also turns line drive homeruns into doubles. Give and take. The RC is a bandbox.

That's not what regressing means!

Um, just about as much as they do in half a season at the Rogers Centre + a large portion playing in Fenway, Yankee Stadium and Candem Yards?

I'm not with Wind but have multiple friends who are and have this same complain.

See NJH's response. It's too early to tell, obviously as it stands he's catcher #2 but there's a lot of time left for that to change. I wouldn't put it past this front office to bring in an inexpensive catcher with good framing numbers.

This deal is just barely above league min. This won't restrict us from signing/trading for a superior backup catcher.

Thank god you said this, I had been wondering how old you were for a while but I thought it would be rude to ask if you were like 60.

I HATE Luis Scola!!!!

What the hell was this quarter?

I doubt it. Other teams aren't complete *******s about letting someone go for a better opportunity like the Orioles.
-
God damn the Rays are so likeable. Rack up another shrewd move for their FO.
-
Very satisfying win, they looked awful in the first half but really dialed it up afterwards.

Nogueira has been excellent, his length is really helping out.

Kyle Lowry is a man on a mission. The flu game 2.0

So the NHL fanbase is running a league wide troll? That's pretty cool.

Price >>> Cueto Stroman > Ventura Estrada ~ Chris Young

Wouldn't the best all-around team be good in every aspect then, not just primarily pitching? You're contradicting yourself here.
