  1. I love everything about that rotation. Honeywell, Faria, Schultz and some other intriguing guys as depth as well.
  2. I love it for the Rays, solid deal for both teams. Dodgers deal from their biggest strength, fill a hole in the process. De Leon's value just spiked in fantasy.
  3. I'd be kind of disappointed if I were a Dodgers fan and the return for Puig was only Forsythe, but then again the former's value might be nearly tanked at this point and the latter is a pretty solid player in his own right. Rays fans (I know, I know) should be ecstatic if they were getting Puig.
  4. This is great news. Now Navarro needs to f*** off and sign elsewhere so my dreams will come true.
  5. Is this even a real question?
  6. It does actually. There's literally this same discussion going on in another thread.
  7. Doesn't seem like Dan Plesac knows what he's doing.
  8. We have to go deeper.
  9. I only remember him because I had a classmate who bought his jersey due to them sharing a last name. Our team went through some really obscure players the 5 years or so prior to making the playoffs. And we've only just talked about outfielders! Brad Wilkerson also comes to mind. Let's not forget the legends of the infield that were Joe Inglett and Mike McCoy. Curtis Thigpen - wasn't ECJF a fan of his? Guys remember when we almost signed contender for ugliest person in baseball, Ronald Belisario?
  10. I forgot Juan Rivera was a real person that played for the Blue Jays.
  11. Chris Colabello Adam Lind Michael Saunders (post-knee injury) Eric Thames Jesus Christ the Jays have sure loved their average hitting, brutal defensive left fielders over the years.
  12. Well Russell Martin was an above average player in 2016 because his framing likely adds over a full win. BJMB: combating pedanticism with pedanticism.
  13. 100% I can play better outfield defense than Chris Colabello. He was beyond awful.
  14. The majority of NBA fans believe Irving to be the best guard in the Eastern Conference because he made a 3 one time while riding LeBron's coattails like every other player has. Most would probably take Irving over Curry, the latter is seen as the biggest choker in history apparently. NBA fans are really stupid.
  15. That's not as bad as it could have been, though Trumbo at his best was still only a 2.2 win outfielder. Unless the Orioles rightfully play him at first where he won't be bleeding as many defensive runs there's still some downside to the deal. They could be paying a 1 win player a tad over $12 million.
  16. In Pompey's defense, Pillar was a lot older.
  17. It's Loor-dess (think "lure dess"), not Lord-ess. The "ou" is the same pronunciation as in French.
  18. Wow Sammy Sosa got destroyed. The voters are so dumb.
  19. You don't like the current blue uniforms? I think they're gorgeous, as are the home whites.
  20. The largest factor in making this deal is 100% Jose Bautista the player versus the remaining free agent options, don't kid yourself. If the deal was about optics they wouldn't have waited until January 2017 to sign Bautista, needless options and incentives aside. Sure maybe they added some fluff so it makes them look better to the public, but this signing is all about how Jose can help the Blue Jays in 2017 and possibly beyond.
  21. Javier Baez is literally better than Ryan Goins at every facet of the game, but that's not saying much.
  22. I was about to seriously doubt your lineup-making abilities but then I realized that you just listed them by position and not spot in the order lol.
  23. I don't mean to twist your words, but actually I think on paper he's the perfect fit. It is well known that all of the guys you listed have shaky injury histories. In the event of a 15 day DL stint to Travis or JD, I'm much more comfortable seeing Valbuena's name in the lineup card over Goins or Barney (who's great too but he won't hit as well as last season). He provides excellent depth in the scenario where everyone is healthy, with the chance to platoon at 1B or perhaps LF if he's capable while allowing us to play an average player at positions where we're thin if top players go down.
  24. He's been substantially better against RHP so he'd be the strong side of a 1B platoon if necessary. Could also play multiple positions like everyone else has suggested (either giving JD or Travis a day off every now and then or taking over in the event of an extended injury). Also, I don't understand why he projects to be a league average hitter despite being rather comfortably above over the past 3 seasons, where I think it's safe to say is when he started becoming a much better hitter by finally tapping into his power - pulling everything into the air to great results. Despite the lowly projections on his offense, they still view him as an average player and will likely be making less than $10 million per year, as a player that is quite versatile that could be very beneficial to the Blue Jays.
  25. Did you guys see LeBron's flop at halfcourt on what was later ruled a Draymond Green flagrant? Just lol
