  1. Aside from the hype and the generally fantastic atmosphere at March Madness games, it's still the same kind of game, not enjoyable to me. And I'm someone who wouldn't mind watching the odd awful NBA game here and there.
  2. I've tried watching NCAA basketball but it's just not very enjoyable for me. There's a pretty noticeable difference between that and the pros IMO, the good players love to jack up shots - contested or otherwise - like there's no tomorrow, some of the not-so-good ones also takes threes all game long like they're Stephen Curry; full-court defense for half the game is fun and exciting but it results in really sloppy basketball. It doesn't seem like the players have a whole lot of creativity outside whatever scheme their coach drew up for them, which would mostly be fine if the players were so good that it was flawless basketball on both ends, but it's just a bit too disorganized for my taste.
  3. Honestly, I understand where you're coming from, but f*** that too. I absolutely love looking forward every day to the Blue Jays playing, or some other team in the off chance that there's a day off. The fact that baseball is always on is the one best parts of the sport.
  4. As someone who's been a part of a 19-inning Jays game thriller in the stands, f*** this proposed rule so much.
  5. Are you implying that you're not at your most concentrated and rational-minded on the can?
  6. That's an excellent team, the offense is particularly stacked. Sell the farm for some high end relievers and the team is not going to be easy to beat.
  7. I see Donaldson's closest FA comp as a rich man's Justin Turner. Good on both sides of the ball, though Donaldson is obviously a lot better. Should easily get twice of what Turner got, who likely took a hometown discount to stay in LA.
  8. So let's punish pitchers for making excellent pitches? It takes a lot of skill to consistently throw the ball in a low and away spot, and MLB hitters are pretty good, don't need to make it easier for them. That's like saying: "Greg Maddux was a fine pitcher but come on, all he did was pinpoint all of his pitches in unhittable spots."
  9. Welp, chokejob, comeback, call it what you will, but Tom Brady and the Pats are on top again.
  10. This team is the definition of vanilla.
  11. The Raps are really being hit hard by the injury bug now. They were already struggling, and then they lost Patterson for an extended period of time, arguably a top 3 player, and then Derozan went down, coinciding with the former's injury; so they're down two of their top 3 players, with DD being their 1B scoring option and PP their best defender. Only bright side here is the Powell has been getting playing opportunities and is showing that he deserves a lot of minutes, specially over Carroll who sucks.
  12. Lol @ using the NHL as a reference.
  13. So that means Connorp will represent the BBDL since Boxy will represent this league, TRM (I think?) will represent DDL for Dinger who's representing this league. I imagine you have a good shot in LOD so I assume if you get in you'll be representing BORED giving someone else in LoD a spot?
  14. I'll settle for the 2012 version, or the 2015 version scaled to 150 games or so.
  15. Brandon Crawford and Mike Leake available. Not really looking for anything specific, we're willing to be flexible.
  16. I always like how the Raptors panic and the screen comes 3 seconds later than it should leaving the ballhandler on an island.
  17. Wow, literally just let him have a free swipe at it. Brutal turnover.
  18. Apparently Lowry is so jacked that he can push Anthony Davis 4 rows deep with a simple touch.
  19. That's a pretty weird fetish bro.
  20. Stroman should probably just stick to hats. His hair game is not solid.
  21. Well that's cool and all, but all of his homers and average OBP only translated to a 112 wRC+, and with god awful defense and baserunning that's just not a particularly good MLB player.
  22. I was expecting to be pleased if this was a cheap Major league deal. The fact that it's a minor league signing is even better. Nice job by the front office.
  23. BTS, take my vote and scrap King's.
