  1. Peralta sucks. He'll keep throwing junk like this all game long, just need to hit it.
  2. Peralta is throwing some serious garbage.
  3. Well this is the DDL thread. Although the fact that you doubled down on James Shields is definitely an interesting strategy.
  4. But he's 35 and just had one of the worst pitching seasons that I can recall. This is usually when people jump ship on a player. It's not like there's any sort of upside to him, the projections have him as a workhorse type garbage pitcher.
  5. Do you own James Shields? And if so, why?
  6. Why is he a moron? He took out James Shields, who sucks, after he was about to face the middle of the Indians' lineup for the third time, in favour of a lefty for Michael Brantley and a RHP in Zach Putnam who is decent and can get strikeouts. Absolutely the right call.
  7. Mike Trout wasn't even his team's first choice in that draft.
  8. I disagree with the last part. I think Correa is already bulkier than Seager, and the former's defense already rates as below average for the position. While both will probably end up moving, I think Correa is the one who'll force the transition sooner lest they allow him to stay at short and hurt the defense while providing excellent offensive contribution. Definitely Bryant over both though.
  9. Trout's offense contributes substantially more than Pillar's defense though. If Pillar's offense contributed as much as his defense he still wouldn't catch up to Trout value wise.
  10. Well that's because Seager is better than Correa so there's actually an argument to be made there. Don't think I'd take Seager over Bryant in fantasy, mayyybe irl but I'd have to be persuaded. Come at me haters.
  11. I think Bryant wins both and it's not close. Correa likely isn't a longterms SS, and even if he is he won't provide the value that Bryant does on neither defense nor offense. The 3 year age gap is not enough to make up the slight talent difference. Edit: Bryant is also an elite baserunner. It's just not close.
  12. Rough luck in this game. Nothing getting through.
  13. Can someone explain how being away on travel is a valid excuse for making illegal adds? I get it as an excuse for inactivity, not responding to trade inquiries, etc., but making an egregious move like adding an owned prospect and not bothering to check that he was owned, then proceeding to benefit from his stats? Sorry, no sympathy from me there.
  14. Dem darned commissioners not doing their job!
  15. Yikes, Estrada really struggling with the changeup command.
  16. Missing from the situation is that Smoak made a really nice play there.
  17. He's a league average hitting catcher with great defense and great framing. Well worth his contract, which btw he's already more than made up for it.
