  1. Also, Corey Dickerson is known for swinging as hard as possible to try to murder the baseball, regardless of the count. If Bo is a fan of that approach, which it would appear he most certainly is, that's just another reason to love the guy.
  2. AAA needed a starting catcher guys.
  3. Holy s***. Can anyone confirm whether or not he was in fact covered in bubble wrap?
  4. He's pretty much lost his power. At 35 and with Bellinger lighting the world on fire I think there's good reason not to buy him even at a cheap cost.
  5. Well the matter of the fact is I wouldn't pick Morales or Carrera when Mike Trout and Jose Altuve were playing yesterday. But I certainly would not pick career scrub Ezequiel Carrera.
  6. I wonder how one manages to project for a better batting average over a full season, which is the rate of hits per at bats, and yet somehow inexplicably also project for a lower batting average on a daily basis. This is, when we're talking about players with similar walk rates.
  7. This doesn't mean anything. Sure you want your picks to make contact often, but that has to translate into good contact if you expect to get anything out of it. You can't expect your guy to hit a couple of bloops and hope they will fall. Luke Maile's strike zone contact is the same as Mike Trout's this year, sure there's an element of speed involved but simply put one guy hits the ball hard and the other doesn't, guess which one hits for a higher average. Carrera has a higher contact rate than Mike Trout, which should tell you all you need to know.
  8. This might be the dumbest reasoning yet. You don't get to 50+ picks by not picking the best possible players? What? Do you actually believe yourself with that? You get to 50+ picks by being extremely lucky, which he was as evidenced by previous egregious picks and then going with a guy like Ezequiel Carrera. If you honestly believe it's a better bet to pick scrubs over legendary hitters then I guess we have nothing more to argue.
  9. I can see the argument for Pillar. He's been a high contact, low walks player his entire professional career. The guy picked Carrera because he had a high average but wasn't sure about Pillar. If you were going with that reasoning, why not pick Kendrys Morales instead? Actually strikes out less, walks just a tad more, but unlike Carrera he's actually a good hitter and would have been a better bet against a mediocre pitcher who throws only fastballs.
  10. He's also a career .261 hitter who projects around the same mark. You also can't say "he's been hot so it's a good pick" because one game is all it takes to turn a hot streak into a cold streak and vice versa. At a high BABIP, you should expect regression. When in doubt, don't pick the career scrub with millions on the line.
  11. Okay, well then it says that his process is highly flawed. No matter the pitcher, Ezequiel Carrera is not a good hitter and should not be relied upon when millions of dollars are on the line.
  12. Smoak keeps on chugging.
  13. It pretty much just tells you that he has no idea what he's doing.
  14. He's gonna walk him looool
  15. BTS guy on suicide watch as Carrera steps up to the plate.
  16. Lmao Terry Francona, that's awesome.
  17. Wow Jason Motte really trimmed down his beard.
  18. Freddie Freeman is so good.
  19. JP Howell has been truly horrendous.
  20. Ugh, so unlucky. Kemp played that really poorly.
  21. Lol that was a reach and a half.
