  1. That's until it gets changed to "Globe Life Park" or "Guaranteed Rate Field" and suddenly we have the worst stadium name in the league.
  2. Game 7! Definitely cements this as one of the best WS of all time.
  3. Liriano HAS to pitch because the Astros relievers are just as gassed, but man he's the scariest guy to have on the mound if you're a Houston fan. Could also strike out everyone so who knows.
  4. I'd say so. Jansen is barely cracking 93 mph at this point. Morrow is another one who is getting abused; they've literally pitched in every game and sometimes for multiple innings at a time with 20-30+ pitches.
  5. Jesus, Kenley Jansen out there again for potentially two more innings?
  6. Joe Musgrove must not be a fan of Joc Pederson.
  7. Matt Vasgersian legitimately needs to chill.
  8. Verlander is so f***ing good. Talk about a career rejuvenation.
  9. >implying pitchers can hit as well as AA hitters
  10. Who even gets WS MVP at this rate? If the Astros win it, just about everyone in the lineup has a real shot. Ditto for the Dodgers, although I think for them the standout candidates are more apparent.
  11. It certainly had the distance, as a reward he gets rope burn for the next three days.
  12. Agreed. Entirely defensible one way or the other.
  13. That was a super reckless slide by Ethier for no reason but he may just have mistimed it, the guy hasn't played for a while.
  14. Is there anyone who hasn't pitched back to back games? Lmao this is insane, at this point Verlander will come in for an inning here and still start the next game.
  15. Another underrated aspect of this game is the versatility. There's players moving all over the diamond: Barnes, Chris Taylor, Bregman if need be, Marwin Gonzalez next inning. And Houston will shift their outfield now entirely.
  16. This is probably a smart move but stubborn and biased me is sad to see Yuli out of the game.
  17. Counterpoint: that could have been a game winning homerun in a lot of ballparks.
  18. Gibbons probably doesn't make it out alive to the end of this game.
  19. We'd probably all have had multiple strokes and/or heart attacks if the Jays were one of the teams in this game.
  20. Puig is a super strong dude man, he hit that ball 96 mph on an awful swing. Sure a lot of times that shouldn't be a homerun, but like the short porch is right there, all it takes it somewhat driving the ball to your pull side.
