  1. Anyone that claims that Alford can be reasonably expected to be a better defender than Pillar right now is out of their minds, and their opinions going forward should be taken with a big grain of salt. Pretty sure all Eric Longenhagen said was that he expects Alford to be an above-average regular, something which Pillar is currently projected to be for next season.
  2. You mean the guy they traded to the Braves for Mallex Smith?
  3. What the f*** are the Mariners doing? The age-old question.
  4. Meanwhile if you put up that slash-line in Oakland you're pre-Blue Jays Josh Donaldson. Coors is the best.
  5. It's funny, Cleveland's front office is rated as excellent and meanwhile the front office that literally constructed that team is rated average or below. You can see how much influence last season's standings had on the voting results, fans are very biased.
  6. Lol @ the clickbait title and overblown hype. If Ohtani is anything less than Yu Darvish as a pitcher and prime Adam Lind with the bat a lot of people are going to be very disappointed. Give the guy a chance to prove himself before declaring him as the most unique/revolutionary player in history. "Ohtani might be better than we thought" is such a ******** article title considering fangraphs is leading the hype train on him.
  7. He's also likely nowhere near as talented as LeBron James.
  8. Doc Rivers is an idiot if he's asking for that.
  9. I've had this discussion with other people as well, I don't think we would trade OG in a deal for Gasol because the the team is really high on him. With that said, I'm not sure who the alternatives would be if OG wasn't part of the package, and I agree with you that acquiring Jordan is more cost effective.
  10. Marc Gasol is pretty unhappy at Memphis it seems, and the Raps are reportedly in on DeAndre Jordan. One of those two replacing JV would be huge for us.
  11. I would hope Geddy Lee has a high enough opinion of himself and Rush to not care that a couple of athletes half his age (with clearly terrible taste in music) don't know who he is/don't like his music.
  12. I'm not a Twitter guy so I can't answer your question, but Archer is pretty demonstrative on the mound and definitely isn't one to hide his opinions, so I think there is where Hurl is making the comparison. I don't get the hate either personally, Stroman seems like a nice enough guy, even if his antics sometimes are irrational and childish. He's a fiery guy and plays his whole life out with a chip on his shoulder, part of that is what makes him such an excellent athlete and pitcher. He has nothing but love for the team and the city, and he's really good and not expensive, I think that's all that should matter.
  13. If you read this in the way that Urias is actually pronounced it's not quite as clever.
  14. The Hawks had their own second quarter collapse lol. The difference in this quarter is pretty close to the third quarter in the Knicks game.
  15. He also got clearly fouled by Bogdanovic on that missed layup. Egregious refereeing as usual. Lance Stephenson is such a douchebag, I really wish we could have come away with this one.
  16. Good job FVV. Glad to have you out there for the entire f***ing 4th quarter.
  17. Okay so Derozan gets mauled by Lance Stephenson on consecutive plays and no call. Are you f***ing kidding me?
  18. STOP PLAYING VANVLEET IN END OF GAME SITUATIONS. Holy f***.
  19. I don't see why syphilis would affect his game in the longterm, certainly affects his game in the short-term.
  20. I thought my Grant troll was an obvious giveaway. I agree nothing major has happened up to this moment, and certainly more moves had been made at this stage a year ago, but my point is that the offseason is still very young so there's not much to get anxious about. Having been confirmed that Ohtani will be posted, along with the Braves/Coppolella scandal seem like pretty significant events even if they aren't a team acquiring someone, neither of those are things that happen every year.
  21. THE OFFSEASON HAS ALWAYS BEEN ACTION PACKED FROM THE BEGINNING FOR THE LAST DECADE NOW AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED. cf
  22. Lol @ the majority of these being considered "significant". Charlie Morton was as boring as a signing could get at the time, there's a few there which you might consider not yawning over. Your dumn
  23. Meh overall the team played well, just a super derpy third quarter. The Knicks deserved this one.
  24. See like wtf was that? Just a useless offensive possession, he had multiple of those which killed us.
  25. Powell was great offensively until the third came along, I don't think OG was a problem but he was a bit transparent at times. FVV is killing us on offense, he either dribbles for 3 hours and takes a bad shot and doesn't make it, and his being on the court is causing serious height mismatchs, Lowry is being forced to guard Hardaway Jr. and the latter is having his way.
