Is there anyone who hasn't pitched back to back games? Lmao this is insane, at this point Verlander will come in for an inning here and still start the next game.
Another underrated aspect of this game is the versatility. There's players moving all over the diamond: Barnes, Chris Taylor, Bregman if need be, Marwin Gonzalez next inning. And Houston will shift their outfield now entirely.
Puig is a super strong dude man, he hit that ball 96 mph on an awful swing. Sure a lot of times that shouldn't be a homerun, but like the short porch is right there, all it takes it somewhat driving the ball to your pull side.
Screw all of you, more homers have been entertaining as f***. It's not just the ball, Minute Maid Park is a launching pad and of course there's gonna be ******** homers.
There's like, a bit too much managing going on lmao. It just seems like neither manager trusts their pitchers at all, but really a lot of it is a product of the hitters just crushing everything.
Overall I'm satisfied despite the underwhelming loss. The ball movement was still quite excellent and the defense did a great job all night save for a few plays where they got Spurs'd. More times than not they make a few more threes and this is an easy win.
