  1. Encouraging swings from Kirk today. Line drive @ 105 mph into left, hard hit flyball to RF (gone in Yankee Stadium).
  2. Despite the off day I wouldn't mind tacking on two more and letting Fluharty close it out. Don't have to use our top arms every time even if we have a break. Save those bullets for late in the season.
  3. Garcia just steamrolled past the Braves' 1-4.
  4. Vlad trying to prove he's just as good as Soto by shuffling on his takes now too lol.
  5. Straw with the immense swagger jogging home after stealing second to set himself up for an easy run. What a player.
  6. Kirk is putting on a clinic with Bill Miller behind the plate. Nothing near the corners is safe from being a called strike.
  7. Sandlin has been a godsend in the middle of the bullpen. Just a tough guy to square up, and he can get some crucial strikeouts if needed.
  8. Roden having great ABs. Crushed one that missed being a homer by a few feet, then draws the walk on a long AB laying off some tough lefty on lefty pitches.
  9. Little looked unhittable there. Stuff so good he only had himself to battle.
  10. Pretty sure this start will handily leapfrog him to first in fWAR in the entire league for pitchers. May also make him first in bWAR with his sparkling ERA.
  11. Trying to drive Strider out of the game and Bo swings on the first pitch, a little half swing on a bad breaking ball on the outside corner for a pop out. Come on Bo.
  12. This ump's zone is so big that when he misses a borderline call it seems like he's missing one down the pipe.
  13. He doesn't know how to run the bases at all. He superman jumps 10 feet away from the base and is in the air for 2 seconds. Loses so much time that could be made up with an extra couple of strides on your feet.
  14. He seems out to me rather clearly, but I've been wrong on these overturns before.
  15. Strider's velo has tanked. 94-95 now.
  16. 108.8 mph on that rope from Bichette that bounced to the wall.
  17. Chris Bassitt for Cy Young? A lot of people are asking this question.
  18. Tough luck on not getting a run through, but his pitch count is through the roof.
  19. Rare pulled line drive on a fastball by Kirk.
  20. Teams are probably kicking themselves at not trading for Chris Bassitt in the offseason. This might be the best he's ever looked? He's putting up ace like production at the moment, and able to handle the innings and pitch count which are enviable in today's game. Of course, I'm assuming he was even available. But at his age and salary with the Jays going deep into the CBT thresholds, I gotta figure there were calls being made by the FO to inquire on his value around the league.
  21. Crazy when Dan lays out how good those A's teams were a few years ago. Matt Chapman, Matt Olson, Sean Murphy, Marcus Semien, Mark Canha. Chris Bassitt, Frankie Montas, Sean Manaea, Liam Hendriks on the pitching side. The FO and John Fisher made that franchise into a travesty.
  22. Nice AB from Santander, hung in there long enough and then poked it the other way with the empty hole.
  23. Bo lol, he was determined to swing at everything in that AB. Not really competitive pitches either.
