  1. Playing bad teams is so much fun.
  2. Wtf he's a f***ing star.
  3. He is an incredible athlete, genuinely among the best that I've ever seen from a pitcher.
  4. He swung at 10 balls out of the strikezone while taking BP hungover back in February. No hitter who has gone on to be successful has ever done this.
  5. I feel like the steals thing are a matter of comfort level at this stage in his career. He's got wheels and for the most part is a pretty aggressive runner outside of steal attempts who goes hard most of the time, I think the stolen bases will come as he gets more of a greenlight. Defensively like it's been brought up, he's got the tools but he lacks instincts, his biggest problem is getting awful reads on the ball a lot; I think there's some potential for improvement here but it will take a lot of work.
  6. Aaron Judge has a fractured wrist from being hit by a pitch against the Royals earlier this evening. That's a big blow.
  7. Norris was a 22 year old top prospect type who had a history of dominance in the minors. Matt Boyd was basically Borucki but with better numbers in AAA. It was a much more valuable package. But also, it was David Price.
  8. I think this is arguable. Yes Beeks has incredible numbers this year, but he's doing it as a 24 year old so it's not as impressive, and he's a pitcher. I think it's a comparable return for what ultimately are two comparable starters, with Happ being much safer and the better performer.
  9. It's basically what goes into batted ball predictors, i.e. quality of contact. I believe it's measurements in exit velocity, launch angles and I'm sure other relevant data which teams use to project how players - in our case, a hitter - will perform or how their swing or gameplan should be altered to maximize their performance in terms of the quality of contact. https://baseball.trackman.com/WhatWeTrack
  10. The reporters are just circle jerking each other, no one is adding any more info lol. It does seem like it's Drury and McKinney for Happ though.
  11. The fans will rip Shatkins because they probably won't know any of the other guys involved in the deal. Even if we get an intriguing arm like a Deivi Garcia or Roansy Contreras they won't be brought up as the headliners because they're unknown relative to Drury.
  12. Have you seen their numbers? Gallegos would project as like our second best reliever after Osuna and Contreras or Garcia would be an amazing headlining prospect as both have a ton of upside and are crushing the low minors.
  13. Drury is definitely not the headlining piece in a Happ deal you have to believe. If he's added as a secondary or tertiary piece along with one or two intriguing prospects then bring him on, I'm sure if they're interested it's because he hits the ball very hard like many of our targets.
  14. I hope Spanberger gets sent to Dunedin, Kacy Clemens is a total non-prospect. 70 raw power is legit.
  15. DeJong can play an at least average SS, and offensively he doesn't walk.
  16. Ben Zobrist was an excellent defender at several positions, we don't know if Biggio is even capable of handling 2nd adequately.
  17. Yeah I don't understand what the hold up is. Neither team has said anything.
  18. Portuguese is a thing guys.
  19. Mark Shapiro and Ross Atkins have been doing this for a very long time. They'll be fine.
  20. I like how while this is going on the Rockies are also too busy to announce who they're giving up to acquire Oh.
  21. He's 25 and sucks a lot. I'd rather not.
  22. Luis Santos is so bad.
