  1. I think he was looking for a replacement not solidarity.
  2. We'll be skipping the dispersal draft.
  3. They got Eloy Jimenez and Dylan Cease for Jose Quintana, I'm sure they'll live.
  4. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of posters on this board, including the politics thread, are atheists so I don't really think that thread would be any worse, it'd probably just turn into Politics Thread 3.0 (In The News is 2.0).
  5. They made 17/33 threes, that's why they were able to score over 120 points. They actually had 30 assists on 44 field goals which I think is very good, although the 15 turnovers would indeed imply that the offense got sloppy at times, but I think the ball movement was there. Lowry's impact to control the flow and pace of the offense despite his own shooting woes was felt from the start. I agree that we miss JV when we're struggling to get an easy bucket inside, but despite it being a generally inefficient shot, Serge Ibaka literally doesn't miss a long mid-range jumper so he can keep taking them as far as I'm concerned. Also like Siakam scored 30 points last game and 28 less than a week prior so he's fine lol, I'll take this offense any day of the year when they're hitting threes, Danny Green went 5/8 from deep!
  6. The Politics thread is heavily represented in this voting which is incredibly stupid, as it's easily the most toxic thread on the board.
  7. It appears we do have a bench, great night from them and allowed our starters to get much needed rest. Excellent team win.
  8. It's fun when the team makes their threes.
  9. Great win.
  10. Best quarter we've had in ages, everybody clicking right now. Let's keep it going.
  11. Lol you're acting as if he got the Chris Davis deal and it was apparent at the time. In the offseason of 2010 when this deal was signed, Romero was a 26 year old workhorse starter whose two first seasons were worth 2.3 and 3.7 wins. The 5/30 that he got was considered to be a team friendly deal at the time, his knees just unfortunately derailed his career, and I don't think it's fair to praise his agent for being a genius or the acting FO to be stupid for offering the extension. It was a relatively low risk potentially high reward deal that went as bad as it could have. It's basically the Bautista deal except it went in the complete opposite direction, for an obviously less talented player and half the money.
  12. Lmao at the White Sox area.
  13. Since you guys are analytically inclined, maybe float a question on if he follows Driveline baseball or its techniques, or if he has looked into/someone in the organization has brought up spin rates or some of that other buzzwordy newer evaluation methods.
  14. He's an extreme groundball pitcher lol, he could have a 20% HR/FB ratio and he still wouldn't be close to being among the league worst.
  15. He has such a funky delivery that I can kind of get this even when he's doing well.
  16. You mention the 0.5 reliever seasons in 15-16 but not the 2.4 WAR year he had immediately after as a starter? Richard is anything but sexy but he's pitching depth, of the slightly below average to average variety.
  17. Bit odd but he's alright I guess, I can't imagine we gave up anything of significance for him. Is he guaranteed a 40-man spot since we traded for him after he was DFA'd?
  18. Man CJ Miles really crashed hard, it's so sad watching him out there.
  19. We've really felt the impact of not having Valanciunas out there against these bigmen matchups. Embiid, Whiteside, Vucevic and basically any 7 footer is just having their way against this team. I hope all of the people that have been clamouring for him to be traded for years have started to value him.
  20. So we should never praise a low risk signing because a low risk signing didn't pan out that one time?
  21. The Denver one sort of, but even then they were missing all kind of shots.
  22. I love Danny Green.
  23. What the f*** do the Padres want with Corey Kluber? They're the worst team in their division by a fair bit and a lot of their top prospects are still not MLB ready, some of which they'd have to give away to acquire him.
  24. I really doubt Utah-Portland is drawing in more than a potential Raptors-Celtics, Raptors-Philly, Raptors-Spurs, etc. but whatever.
  25. Luka Doncic did this: This kid is a superstar in the making, lol @ him not being the first overall pick, the Kings passing him up at 2 and the Hawks trading down to pick Trae Young over him.
