    So two things. 1) It's ST, this is a ridiculous claim to make after what, less than 9 innings of work, some of it against minor leaguers? 2) A top 100 SP is basically saying you think he's probably better than ~1.2 WAR. Not exactly high praise is it?

    I don't think having the microphone there necessarily implies there'll be uncut audio throughout the game. This will be similar to how the other leagues implement it where they pick and choose random clips through the game.

    Honestly, I disagree. While the Airport is kind of a dumb nickname for Pearson, all of the nicknames related to someone's name are usually forced or repeated from player to player. Calling someone Big N is basically a board meme at this point. Nicknames like Doc Halladay (or Gooden if you're old school), the Big Unit, the Big Hurt are cool and memorable, and they fit the players which they were tied to well.

    Is it really that hard to mention the velocity of the top pitching prospect in the game? The Pirates' broadcast is always awful, even during the regular season.

    He just embarrassed Bryan Reynolds. Froze him on a nasty slider on the inside corner and then did it again with a painted fastball on the outside corner.

    I think this is pretty neat. Yes I know the obvious jokes, haha why are the Orioles practicing with crowd noise when half of their games won't have any. You're hilarious. With that said I think it's cool that teams simulate scenarios like this and I wonder if every team does it.

    Sleeper: Thomas Hatch. He's only been with us for a short time but I think the Jays have unlocked his changeup as a legitimate pitch and he's hitting 96 in short stints. We could see him debut this season and I'd be pretty excited. HM: Maximo Castillo, I think he's really been overlooked, his minor league success at his age is very intriguing Bust: Griffin Conine. That K rate just won't play and I think it's telling that despite him otherwise crushing A ball the Jays never called him up. HM: Patrick Murphy, I actually quite like him but the injuries + new delivery stuff has me concerned, I hope he's able to put those behind him New Legit Guy: Edisson Gonzalez, don't hate him because he's listed as a pole stick, at worst that just means there's mass to be added. HM: Michael Dominguez, I think it was BlueRocky who put me on to this guy on the podcast. He seems interesting!

    Give these guys a break, it's the first game of ST and they have literally nothing to talk about but early injuries and the Astros' scandal. There are absolutely no other storylines to focus on and most fans watching and probably themselves don't know who half the players are. The Yankees crew is generally quite enjoyable during the season.
