  1. Connorp how slow at typing are you that you have to use that millennial abomination of an abbreviation for "cancelled"?
  2. RIP major league umpires, a bunch of coaches across the league and 85% of home team commentators.
  3. Guys, Groshans is being developed as a SS. Everyone needs to stop writing him off the position until it becomes apparent that the team is moving him elsewhere. Yes he's a big boy, and scouts love to automatically write guys like him off as corner infielders, but he could be a better SS than Bo when all is said and done. Worrying about positional fit for guys in the low minors is dumn, if they're good and athletic the team will find a way to fit them in, or move them for top tier established pieces at positions of need.
  4. Dunedin/Florida is a shitshow and I imagine they'd like players who test positive to go into quarantine ASAP, if the plan was to have games in Toronto then it doesn't make much sense to delay that.
  5. Seems about right. Top prospects that are more polished, AAAA relievers and depth position players, and some AA/AAA depth prospects that they'd like to keep developing to see if they can squeeze some value out of them. Austin Martin is sure to join them if/when he signs. You missed Travis Bergen btw who hilariously is back with the team.
  6. Yeah BTS is full and in fact has an illegal roster with Leake having no flag on the IL so it should be Jim.
  7. I had a couple of others shortlisted but I did consider Stiever at one point in the decision process.
  8. Went with Dane Dunning. I'll message next in a second.
  9. jaysblue's window expired, Laika is OTC.
  10. jaysblue's window expires in about two hours at 6:46 pm ET.
  11. Emmanuel Clase got his suspension flag back and apparently is IL eligible as a result (he was injured regardless)? So I'll be using pick 65.
  12. I mean...duh? Advanced college pitcher who is already pegged as a top 100 prospect by most publications. Seems like a no-brainer to include him in the bunch along with their other top prospects.
  13. I'm definitely not using any more picks, I've had them on sale since I picked at 4 and 5.
  14. Holy f*** SWR gets a 70 control grade with a good fastball and three other average+ pitches as a 19 year old. This needs to be talked about more. What a steal for the FO.
  15. They still need rest. Overusing the bullpen is just going to lead to injuries either right away or down the road. Granted teams already don't really care about their non elite relievers but if in a contending position I would think they'd only up the usage in games down the stretch/into the playoffs.
  16. Elite negotiation from his agent.
  17. You gotta wonder the nature of some of these negotiations. Like was Asa Lacy's agent just dead set on $6000 more or he walks? "My client is going back to college for one more year if he doesn't get his dream gaming setup!"
  18. Could have sworn I sent you the pick last night. Weird.
  19. Jim's 2021 2nd rounder for 25th overall (A.K.A. 2-5). Jim to confirm. The future pick part can be done on Fantrax but once Jim confirms the 2020 part needs to be processed on the spreadsheet.
  20. With Brailyn Marquez gone I officially put up my remaining picks for future picks if anyone is interested, and they can be dissolved once they come up if no one has traded for them.
  21. Apologies to everyone who inquired on pick #5, with very few people have multiple future first round selections I decided to just drop someone and go with some of the top talent available. Zac Veen and Nick Gonzales - counting on you for this one J4L.
  22. Good shout but he's still forever away, even relative to Groshans IMO. If everything goes perfectly (a big if) he's more of a #1 prospect kicking the door down when these guys are in year 2-4 of their MLB careers. An excellent problem to have if that's the case.
  23. FWIW Statcast had Biggio as an elite defender at 2B, and with that in mind and his good speed there's reason to believe he can likely play an average OF with more reps and a larger sample size. There's also the possibility that Bo isn't a good enough defender at SS to justify keeping him there longterm, which is where Martin or Groshans if he develops well defensively can step in. I think we're going to have the luxury of versatility with many of these young, athletic guys after Vlad inevitably gets pushed to 1B/DH.
