  1. He's completely lost the strikezone. This is SRF esque. Thankfully gets bailed out.
  2. Taijuan living up to his name thus far. Let's get back in the strikezone big guy.
  3. The weirder thing if anything is not flipping Grichuk with Davis in the outfield but Grichuk has been pretty good in CF and they probably don't want to move him around too much so it's not a big deal anyway.
  4. I'm not arguing that him getting into better shape isn't a good thing, and Vladdy shouldn't do the same. Just an interesting observation that he's somehow slower despite being in better shape.
  5. Here's a fun fact: Voit's sprint speed is actually slower this season than it's ever been for him.
  6. It's interesting that historically there have been several good defensive third basemen that can barely move while on the bases. Shaw, Panda, Beltre in his last years. Just a random thought I had. Reaction time must clearly be the winner at that position.
  7. Attaboy Espinal, I can't exactly be mad at Luis Rivera for the aggressive send but with Shaw's speed that's probably an out a not insignificant percentage of the time.
  8. It's fun watching Brett Gardner look like an idiot on the field.
  9. Gurriel was all over that, just our luck.
  10. I'd give Dolis a 3 year extension just for getting us a clean, stress free 1-2-3 9th inning. My god am I glad for us to be out of this park.
  11. Their catcher got injured and their backup was the DH (Vazquez) so they had to forfeit the DH so that Vazquez can play the field. So any time that Plawecki's spot comes to the plate it's actually the pitcher's spot, so unless they want the pitcher to hit they need to pinch hit every time.
  12. Villar 4 times on base from the 2 spot. Charles knows exactly what he's doing when he's building the lineup card.
  13. Biggio gets disrespected by the umps with 2 strikes, what else is new.
  14. Panik with the timely professional hit. Come on Danny.
  15. Which guys are those?
  16. 4 hits, three homeruns all on the fastball.
  17. A f***ing no doubter to CF in Boston. Teo is unreal.
  18. "Chase looks very hittable today"
  19. Believe it or not, Villar has the fourth highest projected OBP among the starting lineup. So unless you want Vlad, Shaw or Panik leading off (the guys with higher projected OBPs), then Villar is actually the right choice. His career OBP is .327 and it was .339 last season in a much larger sample size than this year, unlike Panik and Shaw who have been awful for a couple of seasons in a row, so it's not actually that bad of a decision to have him lead off.
  20. They've been playing a shitload of games recently. Bunch of double headers and consecutive game days. Biggio in particular has played every game until now, and he's scuffling possibly as a result. It's fine to give them a maintenance day, I'm sure they'll be available to PH/PR if necessary.
  21. In terms of CF defense JBJ is up there with Kiermaier in terms of catching f***ing everything out there against us. Unreal play.
  22. We deserved that after Cavan got f***ed.
  23. The heart of the order look like minor leaguers against Godley and then Shaw, Panik and Jansen are all over him lol.
  24. Shaw needed that in the worst way. Brutal pitch obviously, his biggest issue is still catching up to velocity.
